Why Resilience is every Treasurer’s Superpower with Gregg Koser
Many of you may be interested in pursuing a career within the Treasury industry, so I thought who better to have on the show than Gregg Koser, Treasurer at Vanquis Bank. Gregg is an experienced Group Treasurer with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry mostly within large multi-nationals, including VC-funded entities, and he has extensive skills in Banking, Funding, Accounting and FX Risk Management. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign - College of Business with a BSc in Finance and an MBA from Richmond College, London. He currently works as Treasurer at Vanquis Bank, which is a subsidiary of the Provident Financial Group, a lender established in 1880 with a history of operating in the home credit market. They were established as the credit card issuing arm of the Provident Financial Group in 2002. Over the past 16 years, they have grown from a business run by only two people, to a thriving bank with over 1,600 colleagues in three locations across the UK in London, Chatham and Bradford. The Power of Marginal Gains
We’ve reached the final segment of our five-part mini-series here on the Treasury Career Corner podcast, where I share the audio extraction from my speech at this year’s ACTA event. The ACTA (The Austrian Corporate Treasury Association) is the national treasury association in Austria. The organisation was founded in 2017 and consists of more than 100 members from over 50 corporate groups. I’m a huge advocate for the ACTA for multiple reasons. For one thing, they help to promote the treasury profession, which is always a good thing. How to Smash your Next Treasury Interview with Eddie Trahearn

Growing a Bespoke Treasury Team with Dean Byrne

JLT Group (Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc) is a British multinational corporation that has its headquarters in London, England. He has also worked closely with various tax departments in the structuring and implementation of international tax structures. Exploring the Evolution of Treasury with Irene Atkins

The Importance of Treasury Qualifications with Jane Pilcher
On this episode of the Treasury Career Corner podcast, I’m delighted to be joined by Jane Pilcher, the Group Treasurer at Anglian Water Group. Anglian Water Group's principal business is Anglian Water, the group's regulated water and sewerage company, which supplies water and water recycling services to more than six million customers in the east of England and Hartlepool. Anglian Venture Holdings is the investment and management vehicle responsible for the Anglian Water Group’s commercial businesses across the UK and Ireland, with over £100 million invested to date. These businesses have a combined turnover in excess of £500 million and offer customers a wealth of expertise in the water industry and infrastructure related sectors. As the company’s Group Treasurer, Jane is responsible for all finance and treasury activities of the group. However, her prime responsibility is to raise group debt, debt and bank investor relations, and liaise with the three rating agencies. Jane and I had an interesting discussion about her experience in treasury, her current role with Anglian Water Group and where she sees the future of the treasury industry going next.
