Ep. 12 - Celebrating National Introvert's Week

Several years ago, I was asked by a friend how the stigma around introversion will end.  I think he was looking for an easy answer, but of course, there's no easy answer.  I did let him know I was trying to do my part by blogging and writing about introversion. There was much great work being done by others in the introvert area also. I was very encouraged this past week to celebrate National Introvert's Week by attending two different online events. So many more people are involved in this cause, and there is a lot of great momentum behind celebrating introverted strengths and honoring introverted needs. Send us a text- - -Contact the Host of the Quiet and Strong Podcast:David Hall Author, Speaker, Educator, Podcaster quietandstrong.comGobio.link/quietandstrongdavid [at] quietandstrong.com NOTE: This post may contain affiliate links. Ep. 11 - Strengths, Personality Type, And Nature Versus Nurture

I am often asked if a person can change from an introvert to an extrovert. Strengths and personality types are consistent over time. So while you can't change your personality type, you can change in significant ways by understanding your personality type.  What about nature and nurture? How can understanding what is natural about you versus environmental factors help you learn and grow?  How can you help your children and others in your life embrace their gifts whether they are introverts or extroverts? You don’t change from being an introvert to an extrovert, but understanding and embracing who you are can lead to great success and happiness.Susan Cain, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking Marti Olsen Laney, Psy.D., The Hidden Gifts of the Introverted ChildMarcus Buckingham & Donald Clifton, Now, Discover Your StrengthsSend us a text- - -Contact the Host of the Quiet and Strong Podcast:David Hall Author, Speaker, Educator, Podcaster quietandstrong.comGobio.link/quietandstrongdavid [at] quietandstrong.com NOTE: This post may contain affiliate links. Ep. 10 - Personality Assessments and Understanding Strengths, Especially for Introverts

There are many personality assessments out there.  These can be very helpful tools to get to know your strengths, uncover your blindspots, and discover the best ways to build relationships, and much more. Too often people stop at the label such as introverts or extroverts and don’t take the deeper dive to understand what that label means for them in terms of strengths and also needs.  As you understand your unique strengths and needs you can incorporate these into your action plan to achieve your short and long-term goals.Send us a text- - -Contact the Host of the Quiet and Strong Podcast:David Hall Author, Speaker, Educator, Podcaster quietandstrong.comGobio.link/quietandstrongdavid [at] quietandstrong.com NOTE: This post may contain affiliate links. Ep. 9 - Overcoming Perfectionism, Especially for Introverts

Perfectionism can cause a person to not take the next step, whether that be starting a blog, writing a book, creating a marketing campaign, making a video, winning the promotion, or taking the next career step. As Seth Godin says, "You must SHIP," meaning you have to finish whatever you are working on and then let it go and send it off into the world (SHIP IT). What are areas in your life that cause you to worry about being perfect? There are people that need your best work, but can’t wait for perfection. We take a deeper dive into perfectionism and how it can be overcome.Books referenced in this podcast:Linchpin, Are You Indispensable?  -  Seth GodinSend us a text- - -Contact the Host of the Quiet and Strong Podcast:David Hall Author, Speaker, Educator, Podcaster quietandstrong.comGobio.link/quietandstrongdavid [at] quietandstrong.com NOTE: This post may contain affiliate links.
