224 Scare Your Soul with Scott Simon
Many of us have regular meditation practices or gratitude practices. I do, and they're such an important part of my being present, and my living grounded and with appreciation for what I have. However, how many of us have a courage practice? I'm guessing very few, but in today's episode my guest is going to teach us all about the value of courage and leading a courageous life, how we can all live more courageously, and why it can be so transformative for us and for those around us. I am honored and excited to bring to you my dear friend and colleague, Scott Simon, author of Scare Your Soul. 223 End of Year Ritual
At the end of every year, I always spend time going through a particular ritual that helps me celebrate what was really good in the past year, look back at what I learned, and ask myself what do I want to carry forward? Doing this ritual helps me look at what I want in the coming year. I want to share this ritual with all of you so you can reflect on 2022 and look at what you want for 2023. Before I get to this very powerful ritual, I talk about: Taking time to pause and enjoy the moments in life. This helps you to create more of that in the future. Why it is so important to have closure for the things you don't want to carry with you into the new year. When you really suck the marrow out of the good that happened in the past year, it creates the building blocks for the next year. Thanks for listening, love! Let's change the world. 222 What is PRIESTESS?
Leadership in the feminine is desperately needed, now more than ever. With the chaos engulfing our world in so many ways, we need more women rising in their power and leading from the feminine, instead of the toxic masculinity that is far too common in positions of power. In today's episode I'm talking about what it means to be a priestess, and I'm publicly announcing a new program in which I'm bringing together years of my own training and work with ancient feminine wisdom: PRIESTESS. A PRIESTESS is here to raise the vibration of the planet. Living at such a high frequency of ecstasy – joy, love, peace, fire, freedom – a PRIESTESS leads with her radiance. She remembers the ancient wisdom within to embody her full power. PRIESTESS is a journey to the deeply divine, mystical, spiritual truth. To the underworld, the dark magic, and the light. To your sacred work in the world. To your authentic, beautiful, wise, compassionate, passionate, self. To your divinity. Your unique magic and skills. PRIESTESS is not a program… It's an initiation. A remembrance. A calling. A one-year journey to your highest self. PRIESTESS is not for everyone, but if you think it might be for you, email my team (team@purposegirl.com) ASAP and let's set up a quick time to chat, because we start soon! 221 Why Fitness is a Social Justice Issue with Natalia Mehlman Petrzela
Here in the United States we have an obsession with exercise, at the same time that we have an obesity epidemic. People are often judged based on whether or not, and how much, they exercise. And yet, there are systems and structures in place that make it difficult for so many people to incorporate regular exercise into their lives. My guest today, Natalia Mehlman Petrzela, has a new book out that takes a look at this issue and makes recommendations for what we can do to make positive changes in our society that will improve our overall health and life satisfaction.
