64. 3 Ways To Use "To Be Supposed to"

THIS IS AN ANNA WITH 2Ns EPISODE BEFORE I REBRANDED TO CONFIDENT BUSINESS ENGLISH. I RECOMMEND STARTING WITH THE MOST RECENT CONFIDENT BUSINESS ENGLISH EPISODES.This little modal verb phrase has been popping up a lot in my classes and teaching so I want to teach it to you. This is a common confusion with the verb Suppose (which is different) and it is VERY common mistake. Students say "It's supposed that" instead of "to be supposed to" in the correct form. I go through and give you 3 clear examples of how we use this structure in the real life to talk about expectation and requirement in the present and past tense.I really encourage you to think about your own sentences with "to be supposed to" after listening to this episode and to start using them when you speak English. THIS IS AN ANNA WITH 2Ns EPISODE BEFORE I REBRANDED TO CONFIDENT BUSINESS ENGLISH. I RECOMMEND STARTING WITH THE MOST RECENT CONFIDENT BUSINESS ENGLISH EPISODES.A lot of students get confused between the Verbs Hope and Wish. Today I'm going to tackle a few ways you can use the verb Hope in English in the Future, Present and Past.Students can use Hope a lot when talking about the future and present but less so in the past. I cover 4 phrasal verbs including; come across (econtrarse), to stumble across (encontrarse), to come across (dar la impresión) & to get across (hacer entender). Firstly I put each phrasal verb in context with sentences then I give you common collocations and how to use the phrasal verb technically i.e is it inseparable/separable and transitive/intransitive. I hope you enjoy this episode and that it sheds some light and clarity on these phrasal verbs which are often difficult for students to understand.    GET MY FREE WEEKLY NEWSLETTER - Become a free member and get my weekly round up of tips in the newsletter and extra bonus content INTERESTED IN 1-to-1 COACHING?
