Running Through Hell: The Full Untold Story Of Easton Creed Allred

Today's episode is one of the most touching stories we've ever told on the podcast. Today, I have the extreme privilege of sharing the full story of Easton Allred. If you're not familiar with Easton, he was one of the best high school runners of his era. He ran PRs of 4:05.67 (Mile) and 8:58 (2-Mile at altitude). As a sophomore in high school, he placed 22nd at NXN and returned his junior year to place fifth behind legends like Nico Young and Cole Hocker. He won back-to-back team UHSAA 6A Cross Country State Championships (2018-19). Easton then went on to compete for BYU while he battled his health struggles. He ran 13:45 in the 5k and 4:04 in the Mile during his short time competing there. As his running career progressed, Easton started to experience severe health issues such as extreme nausea, anxiety, and more. After seeing dozens of doctors, he was found to have an anatomical disorder known as MALS. The syndrome involves compression of vital arteries branching from the aorta. This compression damages the nerves, causing them to send scrambled signals to the brain, which are interpreted as intense nausea and anxiety.  Today's episode was moving beyond words, and I get emotional just thinking about all that Easton has gone through and overcome. In this episode, Easton goes through his full story and all that he has gone through and overcome. He walks me through all the ups and downs of his life, and the meaning behind it all. I can't stress this enough: take the time to listen to today's conversation. It will move you. Lastly, please share this episode with a friend who you think will benefit from hearing Easton's story. American Record Holder Parker Stinson Shares Untold Stories From His Past Including Why He Almost Retired & More

Today's podcast is one of the best we've ever released. It is entertaining, deep, impactful, and will leave you walking away hearing one of the best stories from our sport. The man who makes his first appearance on the podcast today is Parker Stinson, the man who was one of the first athletes I looked up to when I became a fan of the sport in middle school. If you're not familiar with Parker, he is the US record holder in the 25K. He has seven top-three finishes in major road races over distances ranging from 10K to 25K. He is a nine-time All-American from the University of Oregon where he was third in the 5000 meters at back-to-back NCAA championships. Parker is the only person to win the 10,000 meters at the US Junior Championships three times. He also placed sixth at the IAAF Junior World Championships and won the Pan-Am Junior title. He currently holds a Marathon PR of 2:10:53. He is based out of Boulder, Colorado, where he runs for Roots Running, and has represented Saucony for his entire professional running career. In today's episode, Parker dives into his full story and paints the picture of where the sport has taken him; he dives into the ups, the downs, and everything in between. He shares untold stories such as almost retiring from the sport, and more. This is a top-five favorite podcast I've ever released. It's raw and emotional at times, but also entertaining and inspiring. Needless to say, this is one you will not want to miss. In fact, I'd be willing to bet you'll want to listen to it again after the first time. So, with all of that said, tap into the Parker Stinson Special.
