6. The Call of the Wild, Part 1

After giving his most ferocious wolf howl (not very ferocious), Cooper gives an update on College Football and asks Matthew, Isaiah, and Tanner their baggage on the book of discussion. After each giving their respective baggage, the boys (or young men, rather,) engage in a discussion on the question, “Is having a moral nature a handicap in the Wild?” After maybe losing their credibility, they are saved the AFT. What exactly is the AFT? Listen to find out. SUPPORT US HERE:https://patreon.com/bookinitTEXT US HERE!

4. Sign of the Beaver, Part 1

For hopefully the last time, Cooper gets the name of the book wrong in the intro. Once he's corrected, they're off. First, they apologize again for last week, then they say to scrap almost everything else and give the real updates. Then they're into the book, discussing about how scared they'd have been if they had been in Matt's (the character) place. They talk about their emotional struggles with Latin, and much more! Also, sorry about Matthew's audio quality. He and his family just moved and he couldn't find his mic.SUPPORT US HERE:https://patreon.com/bookinitAlso, check out the official booklist and schedule on this website^^! 2. The Hobbit, Part 2

In their second (and much longer) episode Cooper, Isaiah, Tanner, and Matthew talk about when and where they first experienced the Hobbit. They compare the movies to the book quite a bit (sorry 'bout that), and talk about what Tolkien would have said about the movies; namely the Elf-Dwarf love story.  Then Cooper claims that the last 25% of the book is the weakest part and the others jump to the end's defense. Later on, they talk about why parents are more willing to let their kids read the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings over Harry Potter even though the Bible condemns magic of all shapes and sizes. Did they make a good case as to why parents let their kids read Tolkien rather than Rowling? Listen to find out.SUPPORT US HERE:https://patreon.com/bookinitTEXT US HERE!
