The very character of God is evidenced by the Fruit of the Spirit, and each of the Fruit has a specific voice that reveals His heart toward us. Today, we are cultivating an expectation of His gentle voice which restores us and washes us in truth. The Holy Spirit is not elusive, easily offended, or inconstant in His commitment to your growth. He knows you completely and desires to be your close friend. Burnout and weariness are often rooted in a disconnect from God’s empowering presence. But grace is a gift from God and a shelter from condemnation. Our life in Christ is always based on abiding, and God’s love for Jesus is our starting point for grace. Key Scriptures: + Ephesians 2:8. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. + James 1:17. Every good thing and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. + John 15:9. All of our learning takes place within the safety of our relationship with God. When we realize that His friendship is completely free from guilt and shame, our hearts become settled.
