Got courage? If you are a true Christian, this is something God requires. Nothing should separate you from God—not political unrest, not a virus, not persecution. There is no difficulty, no trouble, no scenario that can separate you from the love of God if you belong to Him. God loves you and will always protect you. He will watch over you. Because of this, not only can we yield to Him and trust Him—we can and must be men and women of courage.

Our republic has suffered a terrible blow. From Pence to the end of peaceful protests, it is clear that the brief respite we got from four years of Trump is coming to an end. However. We should not be surprised by this. God’s people, more than any other people group on earth, have reason to hope.

Nancy Pelosi wants Congress to ban any language that affirms there are two genders. It’s just the latest example of a society in absolute rebellion against God. Next? Churches that embrace social justice. Today we’ll have an honest conversation about the culture and why I think there are churches that you need to leave—right now.

We live in a world that equates knowledge with wisdom—but they are not the same. If we’re going to make good decisions, we need more than worldly know-how; we need wisdom, which begins with fear of the Lord. Is it any wonder that our culture has fallen so low? It’s Mailbox Monday and today, I’ll be answering a question from a pastor in Washington state, and a mom who asks “How can we encourage parents who say they need two jobs in order to homeschool?” 

If there’s one thing 2020 taught us, it’s that nothing is certain—except one thing. We all have a limited time to make a difference. There is a time to be born and a time to die. We all have a “window” of opportunity in which to leave a legacy and make a difference with our lives. Our legacy in death is a function of the choices we make in life. Are you making choices that will strengthen your legacy, or weaken it? Also today: I’ll be answering questions from listeners, including one from a mom whose children are not walking with God. Keep praying! God is still at work.

“Your situation is hopeless.” That’s what we heard when my nephew was involved in a devastating accident. “The election is over. Fixing it is hopeless.” That’s what the pundits are saying. Guess what, friends? These are exactly the kind of odds God loves to work with. With God, NOTHING is hopeless. Don’t give up as we ring in the new year. There is always hope with God! If God can raise Lazarus from the dead, He can answer any prayer. Listen in and be encouraged! PS: Be sure you stay up tonight to kick 2020 to the curb!

January’s almost here. There is a storm on the horizon. People are tired. Government is poised to send an apology note of $2,000 to families, plunging us farther in debt and doing nothing to fix the lockdowns. In the midst of it all, though, God is still at work. One of the main ways He works? Through families. Is it any wonder that the family is under attack? It’s because the family that walks in truth is a powerful force for good in this world. This year, focus on yours. Invest in your family. You were born for such a time as this—and so was your family.

Relationships can be tricky—but they’re worth investing in, even when we disagree. The Bible teaches that we should be sharpening each other “as iron sharpens iron.” In this season of the Rona and political unrest, many of us have struggled in our relationships. Here’s the thing: we can have peace in our relationships, even when we don’t agree. Before you walk away from a friendship, consider the cost. Pray. Seek the Lord for wisdom. Real friendship will stand the test of time. So when you find your tribe, treat the friendship as precious, and hang on tight.
