106: Working Through Fears and Constraints
Today I have a special guest with me. Not only is he my baby-maker and the love of my life but he is also my business partner and ministry partner. We were having a conversation in our kitchen, and I thought this would be something you could benefit from too.
We’ve been running Truth to Table full-time for two and a half years now, and we feel like we are no longer in survival mode. We now ask ourselves, how do we move forward? I’ve been struggling with knowing when certain thoughts are fear or wisdom. A lot of the hesitations I have are not grounded in wisdom but in fear of going without. It’s been hard for me to admit because I usually would not say I’m a fearful person but more of a risk-taker. But when I’m not doing well, I grow resistant towards situations and people due to fear. I’ve had to do some work internally to get rid of that child-like fear of being trapped in a painful situation.
In this podcast, I want to share with you how I work through these fears and constraints.
I hope this encourages you today and that you can learn from my story.

105: The Wilderness with John Bevere
Today I have a special guest and friend on the podcast with me, John Bevere. We will be talking about the wilderness season together and how God takes us through different seasons in our lives.
God allows us to go through the wilderness to develop character. God told David, he would be king, but then David had to go through the process, which is the wilderness. Joseph was given a dream but was forced to go the exact opposite direction of that dream to be ready for the promise. God wants to put us into a place of influence, but we need the character first. We don't always go through this season because we did something wrong but because we need it to go where He's called us to go.
Promise. Process. Promotion.
In the wilderness, it feels like God’s presence is far away from us and the promises He made us even further. But when you understand the purpose of the wilderness, you have the proper behavior to grow through it. If you don’t steward the wilderness properly or understand it, you will never understand what the promise holds.
It is so important that we have the right tools, wisdom, and encouragements in this season to endure it and grab hold of its purpose.

104: Rejection, Abandonment, and Building Confidence
In this podcast episode I want to talk about rejection, abandonment and building more confidence.
I grew up in a safe home. But just because we’re not raised around something doesn’t mean we’re not touched by it. My Dad’s story was a story of rejection, abandonment and a lack of confidence but when he found Christ, he started to go after those things and find healing. I was raised in a home of love and safety, but that generational thread that followed my Dad would love nothing more than to knock on my door. Instead of saying those were his issues, I realized that spirit of rejection and abandonment wants to follow my story as well.
The narrative of abandonment and rejection sounds so familiar in our thoughts that it doesn’t even sound surprising to us. But when we hear those negative narratives in our mind, we have a decision to make. We can go to self-pity, or we can stay soft and open to the people around us and realize God is divinely orchestrating everything in our life. In those moments we have to reject abandonment.
Thank you so much for tuning in today! Let's break up with the narratives in our mind that keep us from living fully free.

71: Stewarding the Mundane
If you don't steward the mundane, then you won't be prepared for the supernatural. It isn't always easy but we are all called to grow and refine the gifts we've been given. Routine is the foundation that allows us to stay diligent and become the person we are called to be.
