MMA fighter Andrew Mavridis joined me in studio to discuss his upcoming Pro debut this December. He currently is 7-0-0 which has earned him the title of Amateur Canadian Lightweight Champ. He fights out of Lloydminster's Fight Farm operated by Garrett Tepper. We discuss his journey to this point, training and what the future holds.  Best of luck to him.

Born & raised in Wainwright AB he went from tier 2 Bantam to playing in the WHL. He earned his keep as someone willing to drop the mitts and found his way to Calgary Flames & Edmonton Oilers tryouts and spent time in the AHL & ECHL.  He now coaches and trains the up and comers of the next generation and has a unique insight to share.

Born in 1931, Vic grew up on a farm near Lavoy, Alberta. He graduated from U of A with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and would move to Lloydminster in 1953 where he began his 40 year career with Husky Energy. We discuss the Oil Industry, his endless volunteering where he has been awarded countless medals for his service to the City, Province & Country. Oh and did I mention it was his 64th wedding anniversary... yeah that too. He's quite the guy.

Most people at any age don't run long distance. Now put yourself at age 60 and you have Ross who has competed in 13 Ironman's, has qualified for the world ironman race in Hawaii and to top it off he has his eyes set on running a 100 mile race. Just let that sink in.  Enjoy.

Tyler Weiman backstopped the Lacombe Generals to the 2019 Allan Cup, but before this he was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche 164th overall in the 2002 NHL entry draft. He played his WHL hockey for the Tri-City Americans and has 14 years as a pro. We get into this and more on this episode.

Dave has a pretty unique story. He goes from walking onto the Lloydminster Junior 'A' Bobcats, going undrafted and finally traded out west to the BCHL. For most this would be the end of the road, instead he becomes a top 6 scorer in the league followed by signing with the Ottawa Senators.
