#56 - Blair Atcheynum

He spent time with the Saskatoon Blades, Swift Current Broncos & finally the Moose Jaw Warriors in the WHL. With Moose Jaw he set a team record with 70 goals in 71 games. He was drafted 52 overall by the Hartford Whalers in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. He was also selected in two different expansion drafts first by the Ottawa Senators in 1992 & then by the Nashville Predators in 1998. His first real opportunity to play in the big league came with the St. Louis Blues who were coached by Joel Quenneville with star players such as Hull, Pronger & MacInnis.

Born in 1929. He went through the dirty thirties & remembers the struggles of WWII. He has been married for 65 years, has 11 children and has just a wealth of knowledge. Unreal to sit down with Terence and walk back through a great life. We discussed his love of horses, all things Lloydminster & hunting with dogs ... and no gun.... seriously

Ep. 54 - 30 years officiating & inaugural Humboldt Broncos President - Leo Wurtz

Leo originally from Dalmeny SK. spent 30 years officiating doing over 3500 games. He also was a ref assignor & at one point was assigning for 12 different Junior & Senior leagues while doing all of Lloydminster Minor Hockey. He was the inaugural President of the Humboldt Broncos, has been inducted into the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame as well as the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame.

Ep. 53 - Edmonton Oilers - Marty McSorley

Undrafted, made his NHL debut in 1983 for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He made a name for himself when he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers and took over the nickname "Gretzky's Bodyguard". Once there he would be a part of two Stanley Cups and the infamous trade that sent Gretzky to the Los Angeles Kings. Such a great dude. This one will not disappoint.

Born and raised in Lloydminster Lance played his juniors with the Red Deer Rebels. Ep. 48 - 4x World Champion Chuckwagon Driver - Kurt Bensmiller

Dewberry's own Kurt Bensmiller was in the studio today. Known for his accolades while driving chuckwagons (4x World Champ) his hockey resume is no less impressive. He played his Junior A with the North Battleford Northstars, a cup of coffee out in Quebec's fighting league,  he helped guide Dewberry Mustangs to 7 straight SaskAlta titles & won an Allan Cup with the Bentley Generals. We also discussed competing against his father Buddy in the Calgary stampede and being in a sport where you can compete until the age of 65.
