A History of Christian Theology

This is the 2nd lecture Chad Kim gave at Covenant Presbyterian Church. The first couple of minutes are cut off, but it was only a few introductory comments.

This episode begins with a discussion of the nature of prayer and how we pray. We discuss why Augustine uses prayer as his format for this book and a little bit about our own prayer habits. This conversation ends at about 30 minutes when we veer off into a conversation about the nature of makes an action free or good. The podcast ends with a thorough discussion of book 10 from about 1 hour 10 minutes in until the end.

In our first podcast in quite some time, we are releasing the second half of our conversation on book 9. We discuss the relationship between men and women in late ancient North Africa and the final Ostian Mystical Ascent. We hope you enjoy it!

In a little bit of a departure for us, Tom, Trevor, and Chad discuss some personal responses to the idea of a Christian transformation. Augustine discusses how he and his mother have changed as a result of grace. We discuss addiction and change in the Christian life in this episode.

This critical book gets a full hour and a half treatment from Trevor and Chad. We discuss what happens to the will when God unleashes it from sin and other really thorny topics. Hope you enjoy it!
