Show #47: A practical guide to getting more organics in your mix, with Alexx Stuart
A solo show today to follow on from last week's sobering exposé by Profession Michael Antoniou on pesticides, namely those containing glyphosate with his ground breaking lab study on low level exposure and the damaging effects.Rather than freak out today's show helps you do the opposite. Freaking out is SO not the vibe of living low tox, where KEY is positive, delicious change rather than being paralysed fear, doom and gloom! So, stop feeling guilty about what you've done up until now, start feeling excited about what you can change and let's talk about how to incorporate more organic foods into your day today in such a way that won't break the bank and will lower toxic load in an impactful way. Sound good? I can't wait to hear what you think and please add your own ideas and additions over on the show notes comments section, which you'll find here along with our beautiful sponsor offer: https://www.lowtoxlife.com/podcast/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Show #46: Genes, GMOs and Glyphosate with Professor Michael Antoniou.
We hear about genetically modified foods now and then in the media but do we REALLY hear unbiased information, whether it be farmers that use them or manufacturers that tout their ability to ‘feed the world' or whether it be on blogs and natural health click bait sites warning that they are the root of all evil, bringing the world closer to impending doom?Alexx met Professor Antoniou at his King's College London lab at Guy's hospital (yes that's the kind of visit Alexx likes to make on holidays overseas!) to see first hand the test he was carrying out on what the effects of low level every day residue of pesticide, specifically glyphosate used heavily in GMO agriculture, might do to the body. They talk about that study and much more in this not to be missed episode for anyone seeking clarity and a deeper understanding of the GM concerns and effects of glyphosate based herbicides. For the show notes and his published studies, head to https://www.lowtoxlife.com/podcast/ See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. How do they differ? And are there therapeutic benefits or dangers in either of them? These are the questions and more that Alexx asks Naomi to shed light on today so that if you were to consider giving them a go, you've taken your own health factors into account and you know what the signs of either success or them not being the right thing for you right now might be.Lots of great info and a little curiosity challenge set for us all, too.Find the show notes and links to Naomi's amazing resources over at https://www.lowtoxlife.com/podcast/ See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Show #41: Oral Myology for children's health
In this week's show, Alexx chats to Cole Clayton, who after career searching for much of his 20s, he tuned into his sadness for the state of health of so many kids today and became a health coach, specialising in kids. His passion for helping kids thrive matches Alexx's own but his approach is different and she found it wonderful to chat to him about his passion for Oral Myology and helping mouth-breathing kids correct the reasons they're mouth breathing (not having mouth closed as default position) and the impact that sleeping with your mouth closed can have on energy, brain function, behaviour, sinus health and more.If you're a parent or simply interested in out of the box therapies and their impact, this is definitely a show you'll enjoy - not to mention getting to know this easy going, passionate man on a quest for better children's health. The show notes can be found here: www.lowtoxlife.com/podcastSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
