Jason is a physician, founder of the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation program, and creator of the first and only mobile ECMO program in Connecticut, bringing this life-saving technology to patients in need throughout New England. He invented, ‘VLAD’, a medical simulator family for training patients, families, pre-hospital emergency medical care, and hospital-based providers about patients supported by mechanical pumps. Dr. Gluck publishes and speaks internationally on mechanical support and acute cardiogenic shock. He has a passion for jazz and enjoys hiking, biking, and skiing!

Daphne is a Radiation Oncologist and thought leader at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Boston Children’s Hospital. She is a Professor at Harvard Medical School. After her Biochemistry and Molecular Biology degree from Harvard University, Daphne received her M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco. While at UCSF she served as Vice-Chair for Research and Educational Program Director. Daphne has been elected in 2019 to the National Academy of Medicine, considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine. She has been selected as one of the top physicians in the United States by several publications including Best Doctors in America.

Prior to this role, he worked as the Senior Director of Business Development at an innovative Boston-based diabetes management startup, Healthimation, and as a Senior Consultant at Navigant Consulting where he led numerous global life sciences/healthcare projects in pharmaceutical, med-tech, and biotech spaces. In addition, Dr. Mady has experience conducting translational research at the Cardiovascular Research Center at Harvard Medical School/Mass General Hospital. His laboratory/clinical research is focused on stem cell applications in Heart diseases and Diabetes, where he investigated the differentiation of stem cells into mature heart cells and created human cardiac tissue engineering models.
Ahmed earned his Medical Degree from Alexandria University in Egypt, having done several rotations in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in the United States.
Dr. Mady has over 14 years of experience in the healthcare business, manufacturing, medical research, and technology management.

MEET OUR GUEST Jeremy Morgan is a global healthcare senior Executive with an extensive experience in the bio-pharmaceutical industry across the globe. Jeremy is currently Senior Vice President leading the rare disease business at Kyowa Kirin. He has a passion for people, diversity, and inclusion and enjoys very long-distance walking.
Jeremy started his career as a research biologist and then joined Eli Lilly in 1986 as a sales representative going through multiple assignments in the UK, USA, and France with increasing responsibility before becoming a General Manager in 2003 for the company's operations in Turkey. Further General Management jobs followed in Australia and then Germany before taking on the leadership of the international Diabetes business covering Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia, and NZ. After retiring in 2017, Jeremy took the opportunity to try something different and consulted in the market access space for a couple of years before returning to his passion and joining Kyowa Kirin International to lead the rare disease business.
Jeremy is a champion of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and brings extensive external engagement experience from multiple charity and industry boards including EuropaBio.
Jeremy is Welsh, married to Clare - has 2 kids, and lives just outside Cobham in Surrey, UK. In his spare time, he enjoys all sports, long-distance walking and loves to cook.

MEET OUR GUEST John Bamforth is originally from the northwestern part of the UK but emigrated to the US in 2001. He now holds dual citizenship. A pharmacist with a PhD in neuropharmacology, John joined the Pharma industry in 1989 with Eli Lilly. Spending most of his career in commercial functions, he became recognized as a builder of global brands and leader of highly engaged teams.
After retiring from Lilly after 30 years, John returned to academia to lead the Eshelman Institute for Innovation at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. The institute was created by a $100M gift from Dr Fred Eshelman and is focused on translating the brightest and best ideas on campus into products and services that impact patients. In his current role, John continues to advocate for diversity and inclusion and its demonstrated impact on performance and innovation.
John is on multiple boards including the Structural Genomics Consortium and Akanocure Pharma, where he is chairman of the board. He is also interim Executive Director of READDI, a public-private partnership founded to develop novel anti-virals for the next pandemic.
John’s passions outside work are his family, he has two children (Thomas and Rebecca) with his wife Sue. They also have two West Highland Terriers, Luke and Lucky, who he takes for endless walks.
John and Sue founded the Ciara Arts and Science Foundation in 2017 to support college scholarships for disadvantaged youth. John is a keen golfer and general sports geek. He loves to attend big sports events like the Masters, Ryder Cup, Super Bowl, and Rugby World Cup.
