We returned to the topic of mental health in the church later in the week because it is a multi-faceted issue. Our second guest to address this topic is a counselor and former pastor who has seen this from behind the pulpit and among the people. He says that church leaders lack the training necessary to help those who struggle. He offered clear, biblically sound guidance for recognizing the symptoms of mental illness and how to minister God’s love and provide support for those who are hurting.
