404: Updates in the Israeli Banking System that everyone should know about with Rifka Lebowitz

B”H Rifka Lebowitz is back on Jewish Money Matters talking about the recently released, newly revised and updated edition of her book Smarter Israeli Banking: the ultimate insider’s guide to banking in Israel. Now for those of you who don’t have Israel on the plans or even who maybe have been there a while and have experience navigating the system, I still think you’ll gain a lot of valuable information. First of all, as Rifka walks us through the different updates in the Israeli banking system you will get a rather positive view of the way the Israeli banking system works. It often gets a bad rap but Rifka and I see a lot of positives in what is often seen as rigidity. So look out for that, as well as, well, we can’t help it… we do geek out about certain things that are pertinent to being smarter with our money, that apply to all of us regardless of where we are in the world. Rifka is a Certified Financial Planner CFP®, author, public speaker, and founder of the 40K member Facebook group, Living Financially Smarter in Israel. She is passionate about helping English speakers understand their finances, feel comfortable with their money, and succeed financially – in Israel. 401: Ask Yael

B”H On this episode of Jewish Money Matters, Yael Trusch answers a listener who’s concerned about married adult children’s expectations to receive financial support from their parents. How to manage those expectations? Also, a listener is very concerned for her friend who might be missing out on compounded growth by not knowing what the money in her retirement account is invested in – is it invested at all? – in addition to having her five figures cash savings sitting in a plain savings account instead of a higher paying high yield savings account.  The post 401: Ask Yael appeared first on Yael Trusch.

399: A confession and lesson: What I finally learned this Tishrei

B”H Here’s the powerful lesson I learned from intentionally going about this past Tishrei in a completely different way than before. I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to learn it, so this is why I’m sharing it with you. This and a call to action because if you’re anything like me, as a Jew, you’re sick already about the state of affairs in the world (and no, I do not mean because of the elections). 398: On Ambition and Values with Branding Expert, Avital Eusgeld – Copy

B”H This interview highlights so many of the themes and values of this show and my work: family, faith, giving, meaningful work, and making money without sacrificing your values.  My guest, Avital Eusgeld, is a mother and the founder of HiPitched, a boutique branding agency which focuses on strategic thinking and design, creating brands that ensure you are ‘a voice above the noise.’ With firm guardrails around her time (and energy), she’s managing to be present both for her children and her clients. What changed between her Bat Mitzvah – when she declared in front of family and friends that she’d be a stay-at-home-mom, and today? How is she doing it? What lessons did she learn from her industrious and philanthropic parents? Daughter of one of the first female stockbrokers in the London Stock Exchange, how did Avital adapt what was modeled for her, with her increased Jewish observance, in a way that works for her and her family?  Starting from her early career in politics and venture capital, she transitioned into branding with a fearless, can-do attitude that landed her a $100,000 client as her very first project, at the young age of 24! You know I want to know more about that!  A proudly observant Jewish woman, Avital’s story is filled with gems of wisdom about career growth, confidence, and maintaining a strong sense of self in every area of life. So, whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, navigating the world of branding, or balancing personal and professional ambitions, this conversation is for you. Here’s Avital Eusgeld.  Learn more about HiPitched at hipitched.com The post 398: On Ambition and Values with Branding Expert, Avital Eusgeld – Copy appeared first on Yael Trusch.
