The Sanderlanche Podcast

Our last two-chapter chunk for this book. The crew is outraged by Dilaf and his unauthorized attempt to burn an Elantrian. Then they're amused by our meeting with Hrathen's good buddy, Forton the potion maker. He's a heretic, a hypocrite, and loves doing drugs, a triple threat, really. After that Raoden makes a discovery about AonDor that has the crew optimistic that maybe some magic will show up in the book after all. All this and a list of things Duladel is famous for on this episode of The Sanderlanche!

Jaymee is back this week! And we're so excited about it that I think we went a little crazy on this episode. It's a long one. Everyone thinks that Raoden is maybe having too easy a time of it as he converts his second gang in these chapters. At the same time out crew is very interested in all the character developing Sarene gets in her section. Sarene attends a party in these chapters, and the Hrathen takes a walk. It's more fascinating than it sounds. Lots of little tidbits get dropped in these chapters that our crew wants to know more about. Sarene is going to teach the women how to fence? The Fjorden monasteries train secret assassins? Zapp Brannigan works for Iadon? And then it devolves into a mixture of references to DBZ and DBZ abridged. So ... yeah, that happened on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

Hrathen is preaching and Raoden is on a bit of an adventure in these chapters. Meanwhile, the Sanderlanche crew is excited by how much information is being revealed. Some predigments are panning out and others have been shattered on the unforgiving shores of the plot. Beyond that, this installment is a big one for diversions, distractions, and deviations. Raoden and Sarene chapters only this week, and while something does feel a bit missing, not knowing what Hrathen has been up to this time, Sarene in particular has given the crew plenty to talk about on this episode. Raoden is starting a new gang, and Sarene may be kind of doing the same thing. What does our crew think of the political maneuvering going on in Arelon in these chapters? Good question. Dac is back this week as we jump back into Elantris! We're starting to see the outline of a plan from each of our viewpoint characters in these chapters, and it's got the Sanderlanche crew really interested to see where it's all going. On top of that, some interesting revelations come unexpectedly out of a question from a listener's email this week. Everyone is excited to be back in the thick of things on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

Well, we ran out of books we've already read on the show, and there's still one week before Dac and Jaymee return. What to do? How about we play a little game.
