The Sanderlanche Podcast

Joe is out for a few weeks to spend time with his new baby. This time around we thought we'd try to go a little more on-brand for Sanderlanche content. So we're reading new Sanderson stuff! I've picked out some stand-alone short stories and novellas we can read for a few weeks without Joe feeling like he's missing out on much. First up is Firstborn, the first sci-fi story Brandon ever published. We've arrived at a mysterious temple high up in the mountains, and things are taking a decided Indiana Jones-esque turn in this book. Or The Golden Child? Maybe it's Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls. If there's a slinky scene next week I'm either all the way in or all the way out. Anyway, as we creep up on the end of the book, the crew is spinning some wonderful theories this week. Really deep stuff. I think you'll be excited for predigments on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche! 

We finally meet Telsin, and every person on our podcast crew is convinced she must be a secret bad guy. Are they right? Well, too soon to tell. Beyond that, we've got a firefight and a flying ship to contend with in these chapters. So see what everyone thinks of these developments on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

It's time to invade a ... warehouse. Ok, so that's not terribly dramatic sounding, but believe me, it's pretty intense. In these chapters our characters learn some interesting things about an eldritch device or two and then plan an infiltration. The podcast crew has mixed reactions. The chapters feel very much like setup, but what they're setting up also seems quite intriguing. So find out what our newbies think of these two chapters on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

Joe missed this episode but did send in a few thoughts that you can find inserted toward the end. Otherwise this is a wacky, action-packed entry. Explosions, romantic moonlight kisses, impalements, frame-ups, even an appearance by Old Iron Eyes himself (sorta). It was definitely a crazy ride on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

Just about all our characters get their chance to shine in these chapters. Marasi, Wayne, and Steris all get some terrific moments for the crew to appreciate. There's even an appearance by our old friend the sexy drifter. So we'd be a very demanding group indeed if we didn't have some nice things to say on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

On this week's episode we arrive at New Seran and are treated to something out of a sketch comedy show. Seriously, Wax and co should take this act on the road. In addition to that, an interesting email has our whole crew reliving their acting accomplishments. It's something of a rare insight into the histories of our hosts on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

These chapters feature some very cute relationship moments and the train robbery that contributed heavily to the choice of song for this book. In addition, Steris just keeps climbing the ladder of favorite characters for the crew. See it happen again on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

It probably won't come as a shock to too many listeners, especially after last week, but the crew is getting a little bit tired of Wayne and his selfish antics. So while chapter 3 is very interesting for everyone, chapter 4 is not the most well-received. Find out all about it on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

And we begin the last currently-published book of Mistborn Era 2. There's a lot of excitement among the crew as the possibilities multiply. As for the chapters, there's a wedding.
