On this episode our hosts talk with Peter Stilwell, PhD(c) and Katherine Harman, PhD on their recent paper “An enactive approach to pain: beyond the biopsychosocial model” as well as their qualitative research into low back pain, behavior change and therapeutic alliance.

Peter Stilwell, DC is a PhD trainee interested in pain, cognitive science, phenomenology, qualitative methods, and knowledge translation out of Dalhousie University.
Katherine Harman, PT, PhD is a professor out of Dalhousie University with her research interest in the study of pain from prevention of chronicity to the management of chronic pain. Her current focus of research is the use of psychological techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
