Niamh Cullen speaks to me today about friendship, love and starting afresh. Niamh is a fitness instructor and started her business Monday Club in 2019. She speaks to me today about moving on from a past relationship and starting over. Niamh has been very open about struggling at times with her mental health and having up and down days. Today, she goes into detail about what those days look like and how with therapy, she found a way through. Where do I start with the beautiful Anna Lee Dowling. I first came across Anna Lee after a tweet she posted went viral, earlier this year. She tweeted that she was found in a train station in China, and went on to be adopted by Irish parents. I was beyond excited when I reached out and she agreed to be a guest on The Good Glow. Today, Anna Lee tells me how she ended up with the most loving parents in Ireland, her deep rooted connection to China and how revisiting the train station where she was found brought up so many emotions. Anna Lee is a bright young girl who I have no doubt will go on to do wonderful things. Her approach to life and the ups and downs we endure along the way is inspiring. Damian Browne is a former professional rugby player and adventurer from Galway. Damian has rowed across the Atlantic Ocean and completed many more challenges. This year, climbing Mount Everest was top of his list. A couple of months ago, I started to follow his journey and listen to his podcast, Deep Roots, which he was recording from the mountain. I was so intrigued by his journey and loved listening to him speak about the challenge, his fears and how he felt every day (it sounded like a rollercoaster of emotions). It was one thing for another for Damian, and today he tells me the story in full. It’s fascinating. I asked him what Everest sounded like? His answer gave me GOOSEBUMPS. Louise Thompson is my guest on the podcast this week. Wow. Where do I begin? I had no idea what to expect from this conversation. This week I am joined by Eve McDowell. In 2019, Eve became a victim of stalking. Her stalker was jailed after months of following her and breaking into her home. Eve speaks to me about what she went through, how she rebuilt her life and how it’s taken her on a new path.  In her recovery Eve was shocked to discover that there is no specific law against stalking in Ireland and could find very little information or relevant advice online. Guy O'Leary was diagnosed with bowel cancer in November 2017, after making a recovery he found out that his cancer had spread to his liver and was subsequently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 3 months later. Today, Guy will tell me one of the most inspiring stories ever heard on The Good Glow. How he went from this awful time, to being cancer free and swimming 31 miles just 6 months later.
