The award brought Bill into an even deeper relationship with the team so you can imagine his excitement when the Rangers made it to the World Series in 2023.As the series began, Bill began hearing his father's voice, who had passed just a few years earlier, telling him, “Enjoy the game.” The message didn’t mean anything specific to Bill until Game 3 arrived. That day, Bill received an unsolicited direct message from Major League Baseball offering him two free tickets to the game that evening. After realizing the messages were not a hoax, Bill and his wife made their way to the stadium. Upon finding their seats, he heard his father again say, “Enjoy the game.”Bill’s father used their shared love and respect for the game of baseball to connect with him from beyond the grave. As Bill sat in his seat, still in disbelief, he realized that day was the three-year anniversary of his father’s death. He thanked his earthly father and his heavenly Father, and then enjoyed the game as the Rangers made their first-ever run to become World Series Champions.
