Episode 28: Building a Healthy Body with Holly Baxter

I could not be more exicted to bring you my next guest: Holly Baxter.  Holly is quite literally a superhero.  She’s not only a Clinical Dietician/Coach and Trainer but a x2 World Champion for Natural Fitness Modelling.  If you’re as impressed as I am, believe me, we haven’t even scratched the surface.     Growing up in Tazmania, Holly was involved in as many sports as possible. She discovered that she was a natural athlete but when she began competing more seriously the emphasis on her performance and appearance set up her up for an extremely difficult struggle with binge eating and bulimia and left her wondering if she had any intrinsic value as a person.   Like so many of us who have dealt with an ED she found the only thing that she could control in her life was what she ate.   Holly and I talk very candidly about the tricks the mind can play on you when you’re struggling with an eating disorder and how she got herself to a place where she was able to ask for help.   Holly now works with women in the body building space to create healthy relationships with food and to break down the barriers for how “women should look”. She is truly a bright light and there are so many nuggets of wisdom in this episode whether you’re recovering from an eating disorder or not.   Check Out Holly by following her on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hollytbaxter/   Keep your suggestions coming by emailing me at Moirakucaba8@gmail.com 📧    RISE UP WITH US!   Rise Up Course Click here for the Rise Up Planner

Episode 27: How To Get Unstuck

Today’s solo episode is all about what to do if you’re feeling stuck. So many of the conversations I’ve had recently have been on this exact topic and let me tell you..I’ve been there.   When you're stuck in a season of “What am I doing?” or  “What’s next?” it can be an overwhelming place to be but I decided that if I can figure this out, then I can help others figure this out too.   My own season of struggle around “what’s next?” lasted for over 18 months and I was determined to crack the code on how I could gain clarity and get inspired for the next thing.  I even reached out to mentors and people that I look up to asking for their advice.     So, what did I discover?? Well, grab a pen and paper and tune in to hear the three questions that I asked myself when I was in this place AND stay tuned for the two key takeaways that really put it all in perspective.  Are you ready to discover what’s next for you?   Keep your suggestions coming by emailing me at Moirakucaba8@gmail.com 📧    RISE UP WITH US!   Rise Up Course Click here for the Rise Up Planner

Episode 26: "What Can’t You Live Without?” With Danae Hays

I’m SO excited to share this conversation with THE Danae Hays.  She is one of the most down to earth, humble and hilarious women I know.  Danae is a mega influencer and tik-tok comedian and we could have talked about any one of her amazing creative projects but we let the conversation flow naturally and the result was truly moving.     In this podcast Danae speaks about the first time she felt shame around liking girls at the age of 9. When the shame turned into anxiety she developed severe OCD.     The OCD eventually led her parents to seek counseling for Danae and during her session with the counselor she revealed her “deep dark secret” of being attracted to girls. Despite being supported and validated by the first counselor he parents decided to send her to Conversion Therapy, a cruel and traumatic form of counseling to “convert gay people into heterosexuals”.    Following her traumatic conversion therapy she was put on Zoloft at the tender age of ten and never spoke openly about her sexuality again until College.   Her story is heartbreaking at the start but eventually through years of therapy and meeting her amazing wife Mandy, Danae finally gained the strength to respect herself and embrace who she was, even if that meant losing the support of her own mother.    Danae’s story offers so much perspective and so many take-aways for parents who may be struggling to accept their gay child.  It is my sincere hope that this podcast opens up your eyes, your ears and your hearts.   Follow Danae on tik-tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@danaehays   Follow Danae on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/danae.hays/?hl=en       RISE UP WITH US!!!   Click here for The Rise Up Course Click here for the Rise Up Planner   Keep your suggestions coming by e-mailing me at Moirakucaba8@gmail.com 📧

Episode 25: Turning My Mess into My Message with Jason Wahler

My guest today is the incredible Jason Wahler.  You probably know him from MTV’s Laguna Beach, The Hills or Celebrity Rehab but he is also a father, a husband, and an addiction and mental health advocate.  I always feel so at home talking with fellow addicts and our conversation was totally soul-filling for me.   Jason tragically went through a very public struggle with addiction. Between the ages of 18-23 he checked into 12 different treatment centers and was arrested more than 8 times. In this episode Jason recalls how he knew he had hit rock bottom the day his daughter was born. While his wife was giving birth on the 4th floor of the hospital, he was down on the 1st floor detoxing.  Jason has seen it all and is now using his story to help others in the most beautiful way possible.     We discuss the misconception that “relapse is part of recovery” and nerd out on the effects that addiction has on the brain. There are so many nuggets of wisdom and hope in his story and we even dig into co-dependency, setting boundaries and how the families of those struggling with addiction can best help their loved ones.   Follow Jason on Instagram and find out more about the work he’s doing: https://www.instagram.com/jasonwahler/     RISE UP WITH US!!!   Click here for The Rise Up Course Click here for the Rise Up Planner   Keep your suggestions coming by emailing me at Moirakucaba8@gmail.com 📧

Episode 24: The Impact of Time Management + Breaking The Complaining Cycle

On today’s solo episode I discuss two very important topics: time management and complaining  These concepts might seem basic or obvious but trust me, they are so impactful.    First up, we tackle time management. My “time ninja process” is something I do every single day and if you’ve ever found yourself to be compeltely overwhelmed or paralyzed with anxiety and you don’t think you can get it all done, then Time Blocking is going to change your whole game.   In this episode I walk you through the exact steps (be ready to take notes) that you need to take to manage your time and find that sense of calm.   Secondly I cover “complaining”. It sounds so silly but complaining effects your relationships, your well-being, your job, literally everything.     I used to think that venting or “getting things off my chest” was something that was necessary.  But the effect of complaining is absolutely detrimental to your life, your business and your relationships. If you can train your brain to stop these negative thoughts in their tracks, you will see a real shift in the energy that you attract into your life.    I encourage you to apply these small hacks to your own life and business and see how things change.   Your energy is the most vauable asset you have. Episode 23: LOVE SERVE GROW with Bob Heilig

My guest today is the one and only Bob Heilig.  Bob is a legend in the Network Marketing space and host of the hit podcast 'Your Virtual Upline', a weekly podcast that gives you the mindset, strategies and skills you need to build the network marketing business and life of your dreams.   Bob was one of the keynote speakers at the recent Beach Body Coaches Summit and what I love about him is that he teaches you how to lead with transformation, not transaction. His heart and my heart are so aligned in our approach to business and during our discussion he candidly shares so many beautiful examples of how switching from a transactional mindset to a transformation mindset literally changed his life.   We talk failure, fear, and what lead him to launch Your Virtual Upline.   We also dig into a topic that I am super fascinated by: the ‘Anti-Hustle Culture’.  One thing that we both strongly believe is that anti-hustle doesn’t mean anti-hard work and we get into what that actually looks like.     If you’re looking to level up your business, then get your pencil and paper ready because Bob is truly a wealth of knowledge and experience.  And if you want to know even more then definitely check out the work Bob is doing and learn how to simplify your business, hustle less, and have more of what you actually want.     Follow Bob on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bob_heilig/?hl=en   Become a Founding Member of Love Serve Grow:  https://courses.yourvirtualupline.com/love-serve-grow-live-event/?utm_campaign=LSG+April+2022&utm_source=Instagram&utm_medium=Link_in_Bio   Listen To Bob’s Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/your-virtual-upline-podcast/id1046138184         RISE UP WITH US!!!   Click here for The Rise Up Course Click here for the Rise Up Planner   Keep your suggestions coming by emailing me at Moirakucaba8@gmail.com 📧

Episode 22: What It’s Really Like to be a Coach

On todays podcast I pull back the curtain on coaching. I was actually really nervous to record this episode because I know there a lot of misconceptions about Network Marketing in general and I wanted to address a few of the elephants in the room.   “Is it a pyramid scheme?”   “How many people do you have ‘under’ you?”    “It’s so cringey to sell things on social media."   I’m sure you’ve heard or maybe even had some of these same thoughts.  I get it because I used to be there too.   Admittedly I “closet-coached” in the very beginning because I was afraid of what other people in my life would think of me. But when I came in to coaching and this incredible community, I realized that these thirty minute workout completely changed my body and finally gave me real results. I realized that mindset truly does make all the difference.  My nutrition (which had always been a struggle) was finally in balance and my family life had dramatically changed.   Once I gave in to the whisper, my whole world opened up. I realized that my true passion was changing women’s lives and that my job wasn’t "selling things” my job was mentoring women. So I decided to lead passionately and live a life of service and I can honestly tell you the results are truly unbelievable.     I hope this podcast offers more nuance and insight into what it really means to be a coach and that it inspires you to also listen to the whisper.   RISE UP WITH US!!!   Click here for The Rise Up Course Click here for the Rise Up Planner   Keep your suggestions coming by emailing me at Moirakucaba8@gmail.com 📧

Episode 21: Brain Over Binge with Kathryn Hansen

Long before I launched this podcast, I knew I wanted to bring the topic Disordered Eating to my platform.  Kathryn Hansen is my guest today and she is the author of ‘Brain Over Binge’  a book that completely transformed my mindset around food.  Kathryn suffered from an Eating Disorder and was able to free herself from this disease by creating her own unique approach. I can promise you that hers is radically different than anything you’ve ever heard before and I can’t wait for you to hear what she has to say. In this episode we chat about her story and how she started out innocently trying to control her weight in high school, a time when we all feel self-conscious about our bodies. Over time, simple diets gave way to restricted eating which became a habit and eventually an uncontrollable desire to binge. When therapy failed to help her with her binge eating she decided to start digging into the neuroscience behind how the brain works and what she could do to harness that power of her brain to essentially rewire those habits and control the urges. Through years of research and trial + error she finally found lasting succcess and was able to beat the binge and decided to write a book to help others who were struggling. I discovered her book nearly a decade ago when I was also struggling with an ED and it totally shifted my mindset and changed my life. If you or someone you know is struggling with an ED please listen to this episode and visit her website to purchase her book or download her FREE audiobook. Episode 19: You Already Have What You Want

I love these solo episodes because they give me a chance to really reflect on the things that have had a powerful impact on my life and share them with YOU.     On today’s show I go back to a time in my life when I desperately wanted a third child.  When I was going through the heartbreak and anger that comes with infertility it felt like one of the darkest times in my life but I now realize what an absolute gift it was to experience that pain and how it’s made me more empathetic towards the millions of other women who have walked this lonely road.    But here’s the bright side: You Already Have What You Want.  Read that again.  For me, the desire for another child was really just rooted in the desire for more family, more intimacy,  and more love in my life. And you know what?  I already had that. I had the power to fulfill that desire within me the entire time.  How, you ask? Well, you’ll have to tune in to find out.  There are so many take aways in this short and sweet episode that I hope will speak to you and allow you to see that while goals and aspirations are 100% my jam...appreciating and cherishing what you already have is equally as important.       RISE UP WITH US!!!   Click here for The Rise Up Course Click here for the Rise Up Planner   Keep your suggestions coming by emailing me at Moirakucaba8@gmail.com 📧
