Stagflation

We are hearing the term used all over TV, and in discussions about where the US economy is headed. Stagflation. So what is it? Is it here? How do we deal with it? On this episode, Joel Griffith joins us to build on our inflation conversation (the prior episode), and give us the real story on what's happening, and ways to get us back on the right track. Inflation Recap

John Popp (audio engineer extraordinaire) and Tim are in the office, even though it's that awkward time between Christmas and New Years. It's quiet, for sure. Because we are all feeling inflation in the pocketbook, and now the term "stagflation" is being thrown around, we decided it'd be a good idea to re run the conversation Tim had with Joel Griffith earlier this year explaining inflation. This is a great primer, and sets us up perfectly for next episode when Joel will be back with Tim to tackle "stagflation." Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Big Defeats Against The Left's Effort to Damage Election Security

After the 2020 election season, many came to the realization that our election system needs significant reforms. In fact, we have actually seen a lot of victories on this front in 2021. But as states pass laws, they are experiencing pushback from left-leaning groups, and the Biden DOJ. That's why The Heritage Foundation has developed an incredible tool called the Election Integrity Scorecard. It analyzes the election laws of every state and grades them on how well they protect the security and integrity of the election process. It’s great context to help understand what has been done, and what more can be done to make it so it's easy to vote, and hard to cheat. On this episode, we talk with Hans von Spakovsky. He's on the frontlines of developing the policies that many of these states are implementing, and has keen insight as to how 2022 can differ from 2020. LIVE - Will Russia Invade Ukraine?

We are seeing video of trains rolling through Russia, moving tanks, guns, and ammo to the eastern Ukraine.  It looks very similar to video footage we saw back in 2014, when Putin moved troops into Ukraine and annexed Crimea.  Journalists on the ground are reporting a lot of different things about Putin’s intentions and how this will play out.  Lots of voices, lots of confusion, and massive potential implications. On this episode (recorded live), we talk with Robert Wilke. He's the former Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Under Secretary of Defense in the Trump Administration, and now visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation. Wilke gives us important historical context for all that's at play, and ties it in with the current landscape. Join us as we take audience questions, and cut through the noise to and give you all that you need to know about this tense situation. George Washington's Thanksgiving Proclamation

Our friend, Rush Limbaugh, used to read George Washington's Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789 every year on the air. It was always so inspiring. While it's great to eat food, watch football, spend time with family, and go around the table to say what we’re thankful for, he also believed Thanksgiving was an opportunity to thank God for the greatness of this Nation, and realize how blessed we are to have our liberty, protected by The Constitution. We are blessed indeed to be citizens of the United State of America.  Given that Rush is no longer with us, we wanted to carry on his tradition of reading President Washington's Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789. The New Kingmaker in Afghanistan; The Haqqani Network

We all remember seeing the horrific scenes in Afghanistan, after the withdraw of our troops. We saw it played out in real time, and several commentators said this will certainly lead to less freedom and more oppression as the Taliban retakes control. Now, Afghanistan has been moved off the front pages, and few people are talking about what's happening on the ground and in the region. However, Heritage Foundation expert Jeff Smith has been tracking this situation, and wrote an incredible piece making the case that while the Taliban is in power, the more extreme Haqqani Network is becoming the real kingmakers in Afghanistan. Hint: It's worse than we could have imagined.Show Notes:Read Jeff's incredible piece: The Haqqani Network: The New Kingmakers in Kabul Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
