Alexander Lowry

Alexander Lowry is helping to revolutionise the MBA industry resulting in students spending less time and money and receiving great experiences during the process and are helped to find a job suitable for them afterwards. Elevating the board conversation -- there have been so many press stories recently of companies failing, because the Boards failed to do their jobs, eg Uber, CBS, etc.  Plus there's an incredible need for more diversity of thought, eg gender, nationality, economic background, etc.  It seemed the corporate world was desperate for guidance.  So Alexander stepped up to fill a void -- there weren't podcasts dedicated to that in the board space, now there is since he launched his podcast: Boardroom Bound   He launched Gordon's MSFA program to solve all the problems and downsides of the MBA but retain all the upside.  Students aren't considered to be a cog in a machine; they get incredible one-on-one access to Alexander and personal help in the job search.  We hear how the students surprise and delight leads to incredible word-of-mouth advertising We hear about Alexander's management consulting days His unofficial motto was under-promise and over-deliver. He has always wanted to surprise and delight his clients You can download a PDF created especially for the listeners of Exceeding Expectations called "How to become an exceptional Board Director Candidate" using this link Links: Boardroom Bound Podcast -- Episode 17: How to Build a Brand https://podcast.gordon.edu/boardroombound/017mattcraven/ Insta: https://www.instagram.com/alexander.s.lowry/ LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/alexanderlowry Twitter: https://twitter.com/AlexanderSLowry Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/alexander.s.lowry Gordon College Master of Science in Financial Analysis program: https://www.gordon.edu/msfa   Exceeding Expectations links: www.ExceedingExpectations.me Facebook Group Twitter LinkedIn YouTube How to leave a podcast review: https://tonywinyard.com/how-to-leave-a-review-for-the-podcast/ Full shownotes including transcription available at: https://tonywinyard.com/ee053-alexander-lowry/

Shauna Armitage

A few years ago Shauna wasn't in a great place. She had a decent job but she was vehemently opposed to the way her boss was conducting business. When she stood up for her clients, she was fired. With her husband only 3 weeks away from a 6-month deployment in the Middle East and with 3 young kids at home, she was stuck without too many options. This was when she decided to start her own business where she could conduct operations with integrity. Ultimately, this has led to a big shift in her own life where she's been able to create a life that she loves. Treating her clients with respect and being a part of their team instead of simply " a contractor" has shown them that she cares deeply about their success and that she's invested in their growth. Shauna talks about how she created this dynamic with her clients on this week's show. Shauna helps early-stage startups scale with effective strategies, creative solutions, and unparalleled integrity by making the most of small budgets for maximum impact. Topics discussed include: The future of digital marketing The gig economy and freelancing Marketing strategy Working for yourself Links: http://www.shaunaarmitage.com/ https://www.instagram.com/shauna.armitage/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/shauna-armitage-72092634/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQjp8PowPjnmJ5aVu1X8YLg https://www.facebook.com/iammakingmoxie   Exceeding Expectations links: www.ExceedingExpectations.me Facebook Group Twitter LinkedIn YouTube How to leave a podcast review: https://tonywinyard.com/how-to-leave-a-review-for-the-podcast/  Full shownotes including transcript at:  https://tonywinyard.com/ee050-shauna-armitage/
