It's Book Launch Week!

I hope you had a fantastic festive season and are ready to crush it in the new year!  I'd like to take this moment to wish you and yours an awesome, blessed, fulfilling and healthy 2019!  I'm kicking off the year with the worldwide release of my brand new book, Employee to Entrepreneur: How to Earn Your Freedom and Do Work That Matters, which comes out globally on January 9! I've been on a mad podcast tour and will be embarking on a good old fashioned physical book tour as of tomorrow, hitting Brisbane, Sydney, my home town of Melbourne, San Francisco and Los Angeles. I'm so excited to see this book finally come to fruition and hit bookshelves, as it is a journey that started more than 15 months ago. I hope you'll help me kick my year off with a bang and throw some support behind my book - even a simple review on Amazon goes a really long way. I'll share some info on how you can best support the book launch once it goes live on January 9. --- Book website: www.employeetoentrepreneur.io Amazon link: https://amzn.to/2SC8PjN Employee to Entrepreneur podcast on Apple Podcasts: bit.ly/employeetoentrepreneurpodcast  Listen to Future Squared on Apple Podcasts @ goo.gl/sMnEa0   Also available on: Spotify, Google Podcasts, TuneIn, Stitcher and Soundcloud  Twitter: www.twitter.com/steveglaveski  Instagram: www.instagram.com/@thesteveglaveski   Future Squared: www.futuresquared.xyz   Steve Glaveski: www.steveglaveski.com   Medium: www.medium.com/@steveglaveski   NEW Facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/futuresquared/ GET COACHED BY LUCAS: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/coaching GET LUCAS TO DESIGN YOUR SUPPLEMENT PROTOCOL: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/custom-stack   Hosted on Acast. Episode #306: All Great Things Start From Small Beginnings

Today, as we embark upon a new year, I thought it would make sense to channel Cicero, Roman statesman, orator, lawyer and philosopher, who said that “all great things start from small beginnings”. Whatever you’re looking to achieve this year, realise that they all start with small steps, so set yourself small, manageable goals, that it is almost impossible to fail at, and go from there. --- Employee to Entrepreneur podcast on Apple Podcasts: bit.ly/employeetoentrepreneurpodcast  Listen to Future Squared on Apple Podcasts @ goo.gl/sMnEa0   Also available on: Spotify, Google Podcasts, TuneIn, Stitcher and Soundcloud  Twitter: www.twitter.com/steveglaveski  Instagram: www.instagram.com/@thesteveglaveski   Future Squared: www.futuresquared.xyz   Steve Glaveski: www.steveglaveski.com   Medium: www.medium.com/@steveglaveski   NEW Facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/futuresquared/ GET COACHED BY LUCAS: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/coaching GET LUCAS TO DESIGN YOUR SUPPLEMENT PROTOCOL: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/custom-stack   Hosted on Acast. Bonus Episode: Standing on the Shoulders of Giants with Adam Jones and Adam Ashton

Adam Ashton and Adam Jones met as two young blokes while attending Monash University, studying commerce and structural engineering respectively. Both were keen on making the most of their advantaged access to education as Australian citizens, ready to start their first job in the big city.  They looked to books to answer some big questions such as ‘how do I make the most of my life?’ and ‘how do I get people to like me in the office?’. They found more than they bargained for. Since June 2016, they’ve committed to reading and reviewing a new book each week, hosting the What You Will Learn podcast, that has seen them interview everyone from Scott Adams and Dan Pink to Robert Cialdini and Annie Duke. I enjoyed catching up with the guys on the 2nd of January, as we dusted off the cognitive cobwebs of the holidays and settled in for an hour long discussion on all things life-changing books, mindset and philosophy. With that, strap yourselves in for a conversation with the hosts of What You Will Learn, Adam Jones and Adam Ashton.  Topics Discussed: The backstory Why books? Learning from leaders Collecting dots Aiding retention and recall Positive serendipity Escapism through books The inverted U and reading toomuch Non-fiction v fiction Mindset and philosophy Why reading non-business books helps you become a better entrepreneur How to limit the downside Show Notes: Website: whatyouwilllearn.com Top 50 books of all time: https://whatyouwilllearn.com/top50/ --- Employee to Entrepreneur podcast on Apple Podcasts: bit.ly/employeetoentrepreneurpodcast  Listen to Future Squared on Apple Podcasts @ goo.gl/sMnEa0   Also available on: Spotify, Google Podcasts, TuneIn, Stitcher and Soundcloud  Twitter: www.twitter.com/steveglaveski  Instagram: www.instagram.com/@thesteveglaveski   Future Squared: www.futuresquared.xyz   Steve Glaveski: www.steveglaveski.com   Medium: www.medium.com/@steveglaveski   NEW Facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/futuresquared/ GET COACHED BY LUCAS: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/coaching GET LUCAS TO DESIGN YOUR SUPPLEMENT PROTOCOL: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/custom-stack   Hosted on Acast. Episode #304: Robert Greene on the Laws of Human Nature

This man needs no introduction but I’m going to give him one anyway.   Robert Greene is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of Seduction, The 33 Strategies of War, The 50th Law and Mastery. His highly anticipated sixth book, The Laws of Human Nature, explores people's drives and motivations, even when they are unconscious of them themselves. Knowing why people do what they do is the most important tool we can possess, without which our other talents can only take us so far.   Having read hundreds of business books myself, perhaps the books that have had the most profound positive impact on how I show up each day and how I conduct myself are books on psychology, behavioural economics, neuroscience and biological evolution. Books that ultimately helped me to understand myself and understand others. As such, I was really excited to read the Laws of Nature and speak with Greene about what is such a fundamental topic.   In addition to having a strong following within the business world and a deep following in Washington, DC, Greene's books are hailed by everyone from war historians to the biggest musicians in the industry (including Jay-Z and 50 Cent).   Expect to learn a ton from this conversation, but in particular, three key take-aways: 1) How having an estimated 80 jobs before becoming an author shaped Greene’s world view and made him a better and more creative writer 2) Why it is our moments of frustration where we often seek out life-changing answers 3) How Greene seeks the path of what is ‘most right’ by looking at questions from multiple angles and contemplating many alternatives   This just scratches the surface of the many enlightening things we discussed - just peak at the topics discussed in the show notes to get a feel for everything discussed - so with that, it gives me much pleasure to present you with one of the most pre-eminent authors of our time, the one and only, Robert Greene.   Topics Discussed: How having an estimated 80 jobs before becoming an author shaped Greene’s world view and made him a better and more creative writer Greene’s take on ‘strong opinions, loosely held’ Why books on human behaviour can make you a better entrepreneur than business books What The Laws of Human Nature offers that other books don’t Greene’s approach to writing books like the 48 Laws of Power and Mastery How Greene aims to avoid the narrative fallacy Why one should look for their ‘higher purpose’ in life The peril of false purposes Why it is our moments of frustration where we often seek out life-changing answers Imposter syndrome Avoiding the ‘counterfeit yes’ in sales Napoleon and controlled chaos How to become like Marcus Aurelius or Queen Elizabeth I, a leader who people want to follow Pericles and emotional regulation How Greene seeks the path of ‘most right’ by looking at questions from all angles Why activism is often just a fast-track to moral righteousness, sans actually being morally righteous Why people wear masks and why it’s their shadows that reveal their true selves How to infer what people’s true character, or shadow, is through body language How social media can bring out the worst in us and the rise of tech addiction Keeping toxic people out of your life or not succumbing to their games How to persuade by first confirming people’s self-opinion How to persuade by allaying someone’s insecurities The irrationality of human beings and why we should increase our reaction time Greene’s meditation practice and how it has impacted his life and work   Show Notes: The Blog of Robert Greene: powerseductionandwar.com Twitter: @RobertGreene Greene’s Books: https://www.amazon.com/Robert-Greene/e/B001IGV3IS The Laws of Human Nature Book: https://www.amazon.com/Laws-Human-Nature-Robert-Greene/dp/0525428143 --- Employee to Entrepreneur podcast on Apple Podcasts: bit.ly/employeetoentrepreneurpodcast  Listen to Future Squared on Apple Podcasts @ goo.gl/sMnEa0   Also available on: Spotify, Google Podcasts, TuneIn, Stitcher and Soundcloud  Twitter: www.twitter.com/steveglaveski  Instagram: www.instagram.com/@thesteveglaveski   Future Squared: www.futuresquared.xyz   Steve Glaveski: www.steveglaveski.com   Medium: www.medium.com/@steveglaveski   NEW Facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/futuresquared/ GET COACHED BY LUCAS: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/coaching GET LUCAS TO DESIGN YOUR SUPPLEMENT PROTOCOL: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/custom-stack   Hosted on Acast. Episode #303: Beware of False Purposes

According to Robert Greene, real purpose leads us upward, to a more human level. We improve our skills and sharpen our minds; we realize our potential and contribute to society. False purposes lead downward, to the animal side of our nature—to addictions, loss of mental powers, mindless conformity, and cynicism. In this installment of Fast Fix Friday, we explore false purposes and why you should beware of it, both in yourself and in others. --- --- Employee to Entrepreneur podcast on Apple Podcasts: bit.ly/employeetoentrepreneurpodcast  Listen to Future Squared on Apple Podcasts @ goo.gl/sMnEa0   Also available on: Spotify, Google Podcasts, TuneIn, Stitcher and Soundcloud  Twitter: www.twitter.com/steveglaveski  Instagram: www.instagram.com/@thesteveglaveski   Future Squared: www.futuresquared.xyz   Steve Glaveski: www.steveglaveski.com   Medium: www.medium.com/@steveglaveski   NEW Facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/futuresquared/ GET COACHED BY LUCAS: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/coaching GET LUCAS TO DESIGN YOUR SUPPLEMENT PROTOCOL: https://www.ergogenic.health/product/custom-stack   Hosted on Acast.
