Before I joined the autism services field (in 2012), I spent 6+ years in outdoor education non-profits, including starting and growing my own non-profit, Sierra Nevada Journeys, from 2006-2012. I had to learn the hard way about grants and fundraising and I wished I had a guide like Rachael. Rachael comes from the IDD/ABA world and her specialty (in addition to leading operations) is grant-writing ... including finding grants that for-profit providers can apply for (candidly, I didn't even know that was a thing before I met Rachael).
