The VP Debate: Vance Shines, Walz Is Overmatched, Partisan CBS Moderators
Join Jim and Greg as they break down Tuesday’s vice presidential debate between Ohio Sen. JD Vance and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. They explain why Vance dominated, why Walz failed to rise to the occasion, and how the CBS moderators stood out for all the wrong reasons.First, they highlight Vance’s stellar performance, delivering strong, organized answers while keeping his criticism focused on Kamala Harris rather than Walz. His persuasive responses on the economy, immigration, and the Middle East were particularly effective, though there were a few moments where his answers could have been stronger.Next, they critique Walz from his shaky start to his painful dodge on his lie about whether he was in China during the Tiananmen Square massacre in June 1989. He seemed to talk more about his record in Minnesota than defending Kamala's performance as vice president. And they note his inadvertent stumble suggesting he was friends with school shooters. It was a slip of the tongue - but Republicans never get the benefit of the doubt when they flub a line. Finally, they express frustration with CBS moderators Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan. Both displayed bias, making comments critical of GOP positions and contradicting their promise not to fact-check. Brennan especially fumbled when she tried to cut off Vance as he corrected her on immigration facts.

Brilliant Israeli Tactics & Incoming Iranian Missiles, Longshoremen Go on Strike, Vance vs. Walz
Join Jim and Greg as they marvel at more reported genius from Israeli intelligence and brace for Iranian missile strikes in retaliation. They also slam the outrageous demands of the striking longshoreman's union and preview tonight's vice presidential debate.First, they discuss reports that Iran’s secret service formed a unit to target Mossad agents, but the effort failed spectacularly as a Mossad agent ended up leading the operation and populating the group with other Mossad operatives. However, they're also paying close attention as Israel braces for an Iranian missile attack in retaliation for Israel's very successful strikes vs. Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen.Next, they turn their attention to the International Longshoremen's Association strike, which has shut down U.S. ports along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. Jim and Greg criticize the union’s demands and President Biden’s lack of leadership in handling the crisis, which could have significant economic repercussions. Finally, they preview tonight's vice presidential debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz. Jim predicts a strong showing from Vance and questions whether this debate will further highlight Kamala Harris's questionable choice of running mate.

Heads Roll at Hezbollah, Biden’s Border Brings Brutal Criminals, RFK Jr.'s Ballot Wars
Join Jim and Greg as they dive into Israel’s swift elimination of Hezbollah’s leadership, the alarming number of convicted criminals allowed into the U.S., and the calculated ballot strategies of both RFK Jr. and left-leaning judges.First, they celebrate Israel’s rapid dismantling of Hezbollah’s command, including the killing of Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, infamous for his role in the 1983 U.S. Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, among many other atrocities. Israel also swiftly eliminated his successor within hours, showcasing a master class in intelligence work and military precision.Next, they blast the Biden administration after new ICE data reveals that more than 662,000 people processed into the U.S. are either convicted criminals or have criminal charges pending against them. This includes more than 13,000 convicted murderers, nearly 16,000 convicted sexual offenders, and a total of 422,000 convicted criminals now residing in the country and more than 220,000 others possibly guilty as well. Finally, they follow the obvious political strategy of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and left-leaning judges over Kennedy's ballot access in several states. As Kennedy tries to stay on the ballot in deep blue states and get off the ballot in battleground states, left-leaning judges are ruling exactly the opposite. So much for the sacred preservation of democracy.

Milei Speaks Truth to the UN, Our Reckless Sanctuary Cities, Leftist Prints Iran-Hacked Trump Docs
Join Jim and Greg as they wrap up the week by analyzing Argentinian President Javier Milei’s powerful speech at the United Nations, the dangers of sanctuary cities, and a leftist writer who published hacked Trump campaign materials provided by Iran.First, they praise President Milei for condemning the socialist agenda at the United Nations, calling out the UN for coddling autocrats, constantly criticizing Israel, and empowering repressive regimes in shaping policies on women’s rights. Jim also provides an update on Milei’s economic reforms in Argentina and how they are progressing.Next, they express outrage over sanctuary cities and counties that endanger residents by releasing dangerous criminal illegals before federal immigration officials can detain them. And it happens over and over again. They focus on a specific case in Jim's backyard in Fairfax County, Virginia, where an illegal immigrant was released three times after arrests for violent crimes. Finally, they’re disgusted by far-left writer Ken Klippenstein, who published a hacked Trump campaign dossier on JD Vance that was provided by Iran but rejected by Democrats and other media outlets. They explain what really got Klippenstein suspended from X and why his behavior crosses a line in journalism.

Kamala's Confusing MSNBC Interview, NYC Mayor Adams Indicted, Biden Gaslights on 2024 Decision
Join Jim and Greg as they assess Kamala's weak performance on MSNBC, New York City Mayor Eric Adams getting indicted in a federal foreign bribery case, and President Biden trying to gaslight America and the world about why he's not still running for president. First, they get a kick out of Kamala Harris struggling mightily to answer very basic questions from MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle. Harris seemed to have no insights on tariffs or what she would do if Congress didn't pass a corporate tax increase if she were elected. She also delivered another notorious word salad. Jim and Greg debate whether her poor performance is due to incompetence or an attempt to conceal her radical agenda. Next, they react to New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ federal indictment for allegedly taking bribes from Turkish officials to expedite a questionable construction project. They discuss the implosion of Adams’ administration, whether his criticism of the migrant crisis played a role in the indictment, and the disgraced figure who may be eyeing a political comeback. Finally, they debunk President Biden’s claim that his decision to step down in July was a selfless move for the good of the nation. Jim and Greg argue that Biden’s narrative, presented during his U.N. speech and appearance on The View, overlooks pressure from top Democrats pushing him out of the 2024 race.

Kamala Wants to Kill the Filibuster on Abortion, Harris Keeps Hedging, Kamala Rewards Ruhle
Join Jim and Greg as they serve up all bad and crazy martinis. Today, they discuss Kamala Harris wanting to kill the Senate filibuster to codify Roe v. Wade, her ongoing refusal to confirm whether she still holds the same positions on several controversial issues, and MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle landing an interview with Harris just days after publicly saying that Harris doesn't need to answer tough questions because Donald Trump is such a threat to our nation.First, they dive into the vice president's call to suspend the Senate filibuster to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law. Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema - the one-time Democrats who prevented their colleagues from killing the filibuster in the previous Congress - immediately denounced the idea. Jim and Greg explain why ending the filibuster would set a dangerous precedent, ultimately allowing Democrats to dismantle it for all legislative priorities. They then shift to Harris's refusal to confirm whether her views on controversial issues like the death penalty, citizenship for some illegal immigrants, and decriminalizing sex work have changed. Despite repeated questions, the Vice President also avoids discussing her stance on a California ballot initiative that would increase penalties for minor theft and drug crimes. Jim and Greg not only blast her for trying to obscure her radical positions, but somehow wind up venting about Democrats - and a few Republicans - who failed to keep their word back in the '80s and '90s.Finally, they roll their eyes as MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle lands an interview with Harris just days after Ruhle went on "Real Time with Bill Maher" and said Harris didn't need to answer tough questions or clarify policy positions because Trump is so horrible that voting for Harris was an obvious choice. Could this interview be anything other than an Oprah-style campaign ad?

Improving GOP Senate Outlook, Walz's COVID Catastrophe, Schumer Derelict on Spending
Join Jim and Greg as they look at how the GOP's odds for a U.S. Senate majority seem to be improving, how Tim Walz was a massive failure on COVID deaths in nursing homes and much more, and how Chuck Schumer utterly failed to do his most important job - but will still emerge as a winner.First, they welcome a new Scott Rasmussen poll (different than Rasmussen Reports) that shows Montana Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy with a growing lead over incumbent Democrat Jon Tester. And several other races are inching further in the direction of Republicans. They also rail against the media for constantly labeling Democrats like Pennsylvania's Bob Casey and Virginia's Tim Kaine as "moderates" even though they vote along with the Biden administration's position almost all the time.Next, they discuss reporting that shows Minnesota's nursing home death rate from COVID was the worst in the nation under Tim Walz, due in large part to his demand that those facilities accept COVID patients after they left the hospital. Jim points out that mainstream media seem thoroughly uninterested in Walz's actual record as governor and are much more content to lazily play into the image of him as a regular guy. Finally, they groan as Congress appears on the verge of another continuing resolution to keep the government open. But they also highlight Speaker Mike Johnson's point that the House passed 12 separate appropriations bills in committee - also known as regular order - and the Senate ignored the House legislation and passed no spending bills on its own. So Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer didn't do anything to fulfill the most important function of the legislative branch.

Biden's Middle East Bungling, Why Kamala Wants Another Debate, Walz Won't Mind His Business
Join Jim and Greg as they take on three big martinis, as they discuss the escalating war between Israel and Hezbollah and how Biden botched the Israel-Hamas talks, why Kamala Harris is so eager to have another debate with Donald Trump, how Tim Walz wants to be in your face about politics, and much more.First, they document the latest developments in the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah and remind the media Hezbollah was firing a lot of rockets into Israel long before the pager explosions last week. They also highlight a Wall Street Journal story saying there probably won't be an Israel-Hamas ceasefire during Biden's presidency and that Biden's team is finally coming to realize what we knew all along - Hamas doesn't want a deal.Next, they react to Vice President Harris accepting an invitation to a CNN presidential debate on October 23. So far, Trump is declining the offer. But after two months of campaign fluff and avoiding press conferences and most interviews, why is Harris so intent on another debate? Meanwhile, Greg reported back in 2020 that the State of Michigan sent an absentee voter application to his childhood address, meaning he was (and maybe still is) on Michigan's voter rolls more than 20 years after moving out of the state. Now there's another story of Michigan voter roll insanity that's even worse. Finally, they shake their heads as Minnesota Gov. Tim "Mind Your Own Damn Business" Walz now thinks you need to confront people in the grocery store about this election and tells those who just want to stay away from politics that they don't have that option.

Kamala's Clueless Economics, GOP's Carolina Crisis, Harris Free from Biden Blame?
Join Jim and Greg as they discuss just how clueless Kamala Harris is on policy, the revolting allegations against North Carolina GOP gubernatorial nominee Mark Robinson, and Doug Emhoff saying Harris shouldn't get any blame for Biden's presidency.First, they shake their heads as Vice President Harris incoherently rambles her way through a town hall with Oprah Winfrey that was filled with softball questions. Jim says her inability to give convincing arguments is a major stumbling block in Kamala's efforts to prove she is up to the job.Next, they recoil at the myriad of sexual and racial allegations leveled at Mark Robinson, the Republican nominee for Governor of North Carolina. After wading through the moral and ethical muck contained in the reporting, they fume that the North Carolina GOP apparently knew there were ticking time bombs related to Robinson but championed his candidacy anyway. (Parents may want to be sure kids are not around when you listen to this martini). Finally, they get another laugh as Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff says his wife should not be held responsible for the performance of the Biden administration or have been expected to achieve any of her current campaign goals while serving as Vice President of the United States. Please visit our great sponsors:Please visit our great sponsors:Oraclehttps://oracle.com/martiniTake a free test drive of OCI at oracle.com/martini today!Zbioticshttps://zbiotics.com/3MLUse code 3ML at checkout to save 15% off your first order.

Trump & the Teamsters, Iran Envoy's Clearance Chaos, Pelosi Says Kamala Won Open Primary
Join Jim and Greg as they react to Donald Trump dominating the vote among Teamsters Union members but the union refusing to offer any endorsement, the State Department stripping Iran envoy Robert Malley of his security clearance but never bothering to enforce it, and Nancy Pelosi insisting Kamala Harris won an open primary to become the Democrats' nominee.First, they highlight the dramatic shift among Teamsters Union members, who moved from favoring Joe Biden over Trump by eight points to supporting Trump over Kamala Harris by 27 points. But somehow that lopsided margin was not enough for Trump to get the endorsement. But the Teamsters also refused to endorse Harris. So did Trump's royal treatment of the Teamsters at the RNC pay off or not?Next, they express frustration over a State Department Inspector General's report revealing that, even after Iran envoy Robert Malley lost his clearance, he continued to access classified information due to a lack of oversight at the highest levels. They also react to reports of Iran hacking the Trump campaign, attempting to relay sensitive information to Biden and Harris. Finally, they roll their eyes at Nancy Pelosi's assertion that Kamala Harris won an open primary to replace Biden as the Democratic nominee. Jim has some choice words in response to that and has fun with Pelosi claiming that Biden is the most consequential president in modern history. Please visit our great sponsors:Oraclehttps://oracle.com/martiniTake a free test drive of OCI at oracle.com/martini today!Zbioticshttps://zbiotics.com/3MLUse code 3ML at checkout to save 15% off your first order.
