KWEENZ! We fooled em again!! It's another Regular Guy Friday *Memorial Weekend Edition* ! K & K are hoping and wishing you all the most fun Memorial Day, and wondering if perhaps this is the beginning of Kween summer?? The duo discuss the week, touching on Maria's beautiful episode she did, catching everyone up to speed on how she's doing and her own grieving journey. They discussed, of course, Jae Rae and listening to signs from the universe. Kev keeps getting bird visitors on and around his car?! We dive into what this could potentially mean....any thoughts? We also discuss an amazing guest we had on this week, Nick Santonastasso, who you will all get to hear next week. Born with no legs and one arm, Nick is a living miracle, but not only is his story powerful so are his lessons and teachings. He has an impactful take on the victim mindset, which we break down. We end the show with another congrats to Nick Cannon's baby, Powerful Queen (misspelled clearly) Cannon...I mean what a NAME! 274. Maria Menounos’s 1st Time Opening Up After Mom’s Passing; Talks Caretaking & Her Grieving Process

YouTube: https://youtu.be/rOvbXo3wH00 Our fearless leader Maria returns to open up about her mother Litsa's passing for the first time. In this emotional episode, we learn about Maria’s journey of  caregiving, grief and self-growth. Maria discusses her own health issues as well as her intervention from none other than Heal Squad friend, Gabby Bernstein. Like many caregivers, Maria not only tirelessly grinded day and night to make Litsa as comfortable as possible, but also never slowed down her work schedule, leading to health issues of her own. Only recently did she have the life-changing revelation that she was a gas tank running on empty. So, under the strict instruction of her friend Gabby Bernstein, Maria shares the importance of taking mental health breaks, standing your ground when working with other caretakers, accepting God's plans, coming to peace with death, and understanding that there is no right way to mourn. Maria opens up about trusting your instincts, even when medical professionals tell you otherwise. Maria also shares a lesson that brought her immense peace: the soul is eternal and ever-present and therefore, even those who have passed will always be with you. Maria discusses her gratitude to this show's audience for standing by her and the show as well as what the future may hold. Whether you have lost a loved one, are losing one, or just want to be there one day someone you love does fall terminally ill, this is an episode you do not want to miss. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

273. How To Grieve and Help Others Who Are Grieving

YouTube: https://youtu.be/ckZ39IHoQmo Author and founder of Grief.com, David Kessler sat in with the Heal Squad to discuss a subject familiar to all of us: grief. Whether you are a loved one who lost someone during Covid or had any other kind of major loss, this episode has you covered. David shares losing his mother when he was 13 while witnessing a mass shooting then losing his beloved 21 year old son, suddenly. David discusses the importance of finding meaning in passages, and in grief, to help cope. He also shares there is no means to fix grief because grief is not something that is broken.  He also discusses the things to say and do when helping others cope and how anger is pain's bodyguard and what to do with anger. The notion we have become 'judgement machines' is covered, as is the very real concept of afterlife and why people on deathbeds see loved ones who have passed. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

272. Psychic Jae Rae on What to Expect During The May 2021 Supermoon and How To Prepare For It

YouTube: https://youtu.be/TN_L8RzlY3M Clairvoyant and psychic to the stars, Jae Rae, sat in with the Heal Squad for the second half of our two part interview.  Jae Rae shares the recipe for disaster in looking to others to find our own happiness.  She explains 'Destination Happiness', how many of us buy into it and the MANY pitfalls involved when doing so.  We learn about not stepping into other people's karmas and, often, our trying to help and fix people is only interrupting their life lessons.  Instead of being a victim post dilemmas and bad news, realize there is a lesson the universe wants you to learn. Find that lesson and apply it.  The first 4 minutes of your day can affect whether you're going to have a good one or bad one.  Bad news finds you fast and if someone isn't in jail or dead and hasn't called you, then they don't want to talk to you. Replace the word anger with fire, the arts lift us all, supermoons and crazier days are coming and after that: fun and harmony.  Yes, Heal Squad the great Jae Rae always delivers and then some. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

271. What Really Happens When You Die and Deja Vu Explained

YouTube: https://youtu.be/PAUEZnQBxHo Clairvoyant and psychic to the stars, Jae Rae, sat in with the Heal Squad to share what really happens when you die and how our souls live many lives - and all at the same time. Deja Vu is explained as is the difference between spirituality and religion. When you're an empath, you should be a conduit only and keep your ego out of it. Jae Rae opens up about her own journey: her father's heroin addiction and why his own psychic gifts led him to succumb to said addiction. She discusses how dark entities can enter our bodies and what we can do to thwart them as well as how dark individuals, generally, either avoid her OR attempt to glom off her power. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 15: NEVER Interfere in Other's Lessons, Try to Go Home or Deny Being a Kween

Hey Kweenz!  Happy Regular Guy (& Girl) Friday. We fooled 'em again - made it through another week.  Kev and Kels were joined by new Gen Z staff member, Pooja, to cover the usual array of topics.  An impromptu "Kween and Greet' is proposed for this Saturday Night up in Boston.  A startling 'Krisis of Kweenz' ensued where Kev revealed how him being a Kween was recently called into question.  Pooja relayed new, Gen Z  vocab terms to maintain your inner Kween: Gas, Choogey, Cap....Soggy, Krisp.  Kels went deeper on how to salute with 'bunny ears.' The trio also talked about a ghost (Kev's dad) visiting an interview they did this week. When the subject came up, we kid you not, a sign mysteriously fell in the studio.  Is Kev's Dad a Regular Guy Friday fan, too? The first few minutes of the morning dictate your happiness. Steve McGarret from the original Hawaii Five O a fine model  but only to a degree.  20th century vs. 21st century work practices.  College graduation is something to grieve but not fear.  Grief is something all are entitled to BUT with grief should come perspective.   'Post-Prom' events should be a thing for the classes of 2020 and 2021. There's advice for college graduates entering this wonky employment environment. You can NEVER go home yet many of us spend our lives trying to 'go home' like addicts chasing their first great high. Do not interfere with others' lessons or karma.   And while Pooja proved she can school Kev and Kels on many of the kewl Kween lingo of the day, she signed off with a Bye "BITCHES."  Luckily, Kels made the save, reminding her that it's 'Bye BETCHES!'  before asking for more itunes comments and then leaving us all on a cliffhanger: will there be a Boston Kween and Greet Saturday night? Hmmmm.   BYE BETCHES!!! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support
