Arash is an e-permitting advocate based out of Toronto, Canada. He has created a network of businesses, builders, owners, and architects that are pushing for the ability to approve building permits through PDF documents and from the model. E-permitting would allow for automation to be increased in checking requirements and codes and speed up the overall process from design to build. We welcome René Morkos of ALICE Technology to talk about the next step in digitizing the construction industry. René inspiration came from seeing the underutilization of construction sites and a desire for it to be done better. He is doing to scheduling what BIM did to design. ALICE is parametrizing scheduling down to three algorithms that finds processes that will be part of the critical path even if the scheduling order changes.
