New Book Reveal with my Illustrator Campbell Walker (Struthless)
When it came to writing a second book, Osher hadn’t lived enough since the extra bits were added to the second edition of his memoir to write another memoir based on only five years. Instead, he wrote the book he wished he had during times when his mental health wasn’t doing well. It’s the kind of book one grabs when they’ve tried everything else but still feel stuck, or they’re trying to understand how someone they care about keeps going in circles, and things seem to be getting worse. It’s specifically written for people who aren’t used to asking for help or are concerned that asking for help might impact them negatively. To ensure the book is as powerful as possible, Osher worked with an eminent Australian psychologist to make sure all the messages and techniques are legitimate. Some of the content is quite complicated, so to make things easier to understand, he wanted to use illustrations. While Osher isn’t bad at sketching, he isn’t an artist. There was only one artist Osher wanted to work with, someone who could understand what he was trying to do and who would get the concepts he wanted to put on the page. That person is the legendary Campbell Walker aka @struthless69, who joins us today. Pre-order “So What? Now What?” here, be sure to screenshot your proof of purchase and email sendosheremail@gmail.com to get your free thank you gift.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Escaping the trap of “I have reasons, you have excuses”
When that person up ahead in the right turn only lane puts their blinker on way too late and starts to merge across the solid line towards your lane, what are your thoughts about that person? When you you distinctly recall asking your partner to empty the recycling bin yesterday, and now it’s a jenga pile of jam jars and plastic packets - what are your thoughts about that person? Just to speculate, they’re not positive thoughts are they? However - do you realise that what’s happening there with your judgment about the other person is one of the core thinking biases which can destroy relationships, and lead to unnecessary, possibly dangerous conflict with strangers? Luckily it’s one of those things that once you know it’s there, you can actively start to work at it - and in this episode Osher talks about identifying and dealing with this trap of thinking which often sits at the core of all relationship discontent. For more on the book announcement: https://oshergunsberg.substack.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Why better decisions lie in your blindspots, with Dr Kirstin Ferguson
When we look to someone for answers, 'I don't know' is maybe the last thing we want to hear. But it could be one of the best things a leader can say - a gateway to honesty, curiosity, and flexibility, to a bigger picture, to much better decisions, and to a revolutionary process called 'blindspotting'. Renowned leadership and management thought leader and author Dr Kristin Ferguson leads Osher through this process, with examples of just how much it can change our business and personal lives. Osher's Election Reflection (aka, we are more alike than we think)
Something happened on the other side of that election result which I would really love to talk about.Something which we’ve I’ve noticed missing among all the forensic dissection of how the libs lost this or the greens lost that. There’s a massive, glaring fact which I haven’t seen discussed yet, so I thought I’d put it out there. It’s got to do with what we’re being told we are vs what we actually are.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
