Juan Santos is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor with a private practice, Santos Counseling PLLC, in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, NC. Mr. Santos has a conducted over 75 immigration evaluations in his years of practice. Mr. Santos was born in the Dominican Republic and experienced the positive impact of transitioning to a life in the United States of America. He is very passionate and focused in this area, writing immigration evaluations. Mr. Santos found his niche in working with individuals and families navigating thorough the immigration process during his first job out of graduate school. He was able to work alongside, Dr. Robin Dock, a psychologist and professor of Winston Salem State University who held years of experience in supporting clients with legal related issues. Mr. Santos utilizes his years of experience in working with immigration attorneys and writing hardship evaluations to train clinicians interested in the niche or desiring to improve their skills. Juan is currently a doctorate student at the University of the Cumberland’s where he is a pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Mr. Santos hopes to utilize his doctorate studies to strengthen his skills in writing expert level evaluations and in training aspiring clinicians interested in the field. Mr. Santos is a father of two, 4-year-old Nola and 2-year-old Alexander. He is married to his wife, Elizabeth Livingston Santos. Together they enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, practicing minimalism, and spending time with family and friends. In his years of practice, Juan has attained recognition in publishing self-help books aimed to address issues ranging from anxiety to relationship, he was the recipient Winston Salem State University Alumni Achiever 2015, the Winston Salem Under 40 Leadership Achiever, and the 2015 Notable Latino of the Triad Award. Juan has presented his work in immigration hardship evaluations with GoodTherapy and is scheduled to present at the LPCANC fall conference.
