Rod Beck is one of three Ada County Commissioners and came in to speak on power in Ada County. The county has engaged in many innovative projects, including methane capture from the landfill that generates power and profit annually. The commissioners are also considering whether or not private property owners on ag land should be allowed to put up solar panels on their land. These are complex issues considering existing zoning, our energy crisis, and our continuing loss of ag land.
