Michael Stowell is the Chief of Canyon County Paramedics. The Ambulance district is seeking a levy override to continue to fund the ambulance and paramedic operations in the county. Without the levy override, Canyon County will still receive emergency services, but they will be at a reduced rate across the board. Trent Tripple is the Ada County Clerk and has compiled the most complete analysis of voting records (all anonymous, of course) and voting habits for Ada County to date. He brought in the compiled data, and we not only looked over that but also checked out the ballot verifier for the county, which allows anyone to audit the votes of the entire county, all 240,000 of them. The amazing thing, as you'll see, is that people are far more complex when voting than some would have you believe. Kate Wilson started the Foster & Heart organization that focuses on helping foster youth with sibling groups in SW Idaho. They have been working with the Department of Health and Welfare and community groups to bring not just a home but the right home to children in need. Hyrum Erickson is a Republican Precinct Committeeman in district 34 and an avid supporter of Prop 1, Idaho’s Open Primary and Rank Choice Voting initiative. He feels deeply that the majority of Idaho’s voting public not only is shut out of all elections of any real consequence, but also that almost 90% of voters in Idaho are of no consequence to those running for public office and are therefore neglected almost completely. He sees open primaries and rank choice voting as a way to address this problem. Chief Zachary Hessing is the Star Chief of Police.
