Legislation to Preserve Idaho Farm Life with Braden Jensen
Braden Jensen works for Idaho's Farm Bureau. Last year the bureau advocated for and worked with legislators on a bill that would offer incentives to farmers and land owners that would allow them to get benefits of temporary commitments towards preserving land. There are some larger incentive programs for preserving agricultural land that are permanent, but the Farm Bureau is also looking to present an option that isn't forever. Protecting the Children of Idaho on the Internet with Vic Dominguez
Vic Dominguez is the executive director of the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Coalition, a non-profit based group dedicated to educating both Idaho law enforcement agencies as well as Idaho families. Crimes against children on the internet have exponentially grown over the last decade, and aside from that being an obvious problem, law enforcement trails in learning how to detect, investigate, and prosecute these crimes as the crimes are constantly changing and evolving. This is a sobering but hugely important issue for any parent to understand. The Ranch Podcast is the premier source for long format interviews and information in the Treasure Valley and great state of Idaho. Star, Idaho's Fire District with Chief Timinsky
Greg Timinsky is the Chief of the Star/Middleton Fire District. That particular area of Idaho has grown at a breakneck speed, spreading basic services like Fire to a point where the citizens will have to decide if they are interested in maintaining services and accepting an increase in property taxes or if they'd prefer to have slower responses and less service but also have a lower tax rate.
