Moiraine heals a dying Tam. We speculate about Rand's possible past channeling. Rand learns disturbing hints about his fathers past. Lan notices Rand is carrying a heron marked blade. Rand staggers into a devastated village, in a state of shock and exhaustion. Nynaeve can't help Tam, but someone else may be able to.  Alsbet Luhhan has been out hunting trollocs with a cast iron frying pan, having killed several of them.  We'd be afraid if we were them.  Thom gives the Mayor a way to save Tams life. Tam and Rand settle in for the night before having unexpected visiting Trollocs. Tam might be our favorite badass in the series.
