The Nicole Sandler Show
Nicole Sandler
Nicole Sandler has worked in radio her entire adult life. After a successful career in music radio in NY and Los Angeles (WPLJ, KLOS, KSCA and others), she returned to talk radio to host mornings on then-progressive talk WINZ/Miami. After a flip to sports, she moved to Air America Radio for a nightly show. When AAR went off the air on Jan 21, 2010, Nicole Sandler moved online where she continues to question authority daily at nicolesandler.com.

20210305 Nicole Sandler Show - Time for Justice (or Just Cake) with Jack Rice
The senate is in the midst of another vote-a-rama today ahead of a vote, sometime this weekend, on the $1.9 trillion covid relief bill. Today on my show, we'll look ahead to Monday, when the murder trial begins for Derek Chauvin, the Minneapolis police officer who knelt on the neck of George Floyd for almost 10 minutes, ultimately killing him. Jack Rice is an old friend and colleague from Air America Radio who is also an attorney. He's been a prosecutor and is currently working as a criminal defense lawyer. Today, he joins me for a preview of the trial that begins on Monday. Jack Rice is always fascinating. Today, he brings the perspective of one who lives just blocks away from where George Floyd was killed. Is Justice possible? We'll discuss...
And today's show runs a bit long, as I had to say a few things about the filibuster and the 7 Democrats (plus Angus King) who voted against the $15 minimum wage. Ugh.

20210304 Nicole Sandler Show - Thursdays with Howie Klein
It's Thursday, and the House is supposed to be in session today, but they're not. That's because the insurrection gang is threatening the Capitol again. The QAnon gang apparently believes that today is the day that Trump will be inaugurated as our 19th president. I know. I won't even try to make sense of the insanity. Since the House is out today, they were busy yesterday. I'll fill you in on all of that, and will explain what I found out about who designed the stage for CPAC last week that was undeniably in the shape of a symbol used by the Nazis in World War II. As it is Thursday, Howie Klein will be here. When I asked if there's anything specific he'd like to touch on, his response was simply, "How shitty the Democratic Party is?" Some things never change!

20210303 Nicole Sandler Everybody Needs A Day Off Once in a While Show
It's a sick day show... Complete with today's news, last year's interview with Lawrence O'Donnell and a classic from my archives from 1999 with Natalie Merchant. I'll be back tomorrow.

20210302 Nicole Sandler Show - A Pox on Fox and a Takedown by Vox' Aaron Rupar
I tried to rhyme the title of today's episode, a la Dr. Seuss, for reasons that should shortly become apparent. Fox not news and their ideological brethren are all freaked out today, claiming that Nancy Pelosi and the Dems have "cancelled" Dr. Seuss. Obviously, the truth is nothing of the sort.. it's not even a distant relative. Today's guest, Aaron Rupar of Vox (with a V) will help me set that record straight today. Aaron somehow manages to monitor the right wing lying machine as part of his job, and seems to remain somewhat sane. He joins us on the show today to find out how he does it, and more... Yes, we'll have all the latest news and info too. But I'm more interested in how Aaron retains his sanity while knee deep in the swampy muck every day.

20210301 Nicole Sandler Show - Nicole Sandler Show - Dog Whistles No Longer Necessary; Voting Rights Are
It's a Monday, that's for sure. Well, I had a guest scheduled for today, but due to the mood of this nation, said guest had to cancel for fear of retribution. I'll explain, albeit cryptically, as this person doesn't deserve the rack of shit they're getting for expressing an opinion. Arghh... On Friday, I taped an interview with Ian Millhiser of Vox.com about two cases the Supreme Court will hear tomorrow that could be the end of the Voting Rights Act. It's such an important issue that I shared that interview today too.
