20210330 Nicole Sandler Show - FDR, LBJ, JOE with HJK (Harvey J Kaye)

I'm not usually happy to be proven wrong, but in this case I'm thrilled. I was wrong about Joe Biden when I fought against his nomination. I was judging him based on his decades of history as a centrist to conservative Democrat when we needed a truly bold progressive. Now, 70 days or so into the Biden administration, I'm watching the most progressive president implementing the most progressive programs since LBJ's Great Society. Today, we'll find out if our old friend Harvey J. Kaye agrees with my assessment. But we'll begin, as usual, with the latest news, updates from the trial for the murderer of George Floyd and more.

20210329 Nicole Sandler Show - Don Henley Strikes Again and More Monday Misery

It's Deja Vu all over again. You may recall when live streaming was suspended on my YouTube channel for 90 days. It was because in a What's News segment that aired at the very end of a show posted four years ago used less than 30 seconds of Don Henley's "I Will Not Go Quietly". Well, it happened again! This time, the video was from 3-18-2016. In the middle of the show I played a Green News Report which used another Henley song as outro music. And they suspended my streaming rights again! I'm livid, as you'd expect. So that dominated most of my day today. There is other stuff happening, most notably the trial of the former MN cop who killed George Floyd began. We'll speak with Jack Rice for a few minutes about what went on today. Plus, the CDC Director got emotional today, and I don't blame her!

20210326 Nicole Sandler Show - What Would RGB Say with Amanda L. Tyler

I was out yesterday, sidelined after my second Moderna vaccine. It affect everyone differently, but I had heard from a few people that the second one really took its toll, and that was true for me. I'm feeling much better today, but still not 100%. So today's show will be a bit different than what I had planned... I'll be speaking with Amanda L. Tyler, a law professor at UC Berkeley who clerked for Justice Ginsburg 20 years ago, and worked with her for the last few months of her life on this new book, "Justice, Justice Though Shalt Pursue". Instead of spending the first half hour recounting the insane news made yesterday, I'll save that for the end of the show and play What's News. At the top, a conversation with the Marsh family, with whom I've become somewhat obsessed. They're in the UK, and have been making some amazing videos of their song parodies dealing with life during the pandemic. I think you'll become enamored with them too.

20210325 Blast from the Past Nicole Sandler Show - Flashback to March 23, 2010

I had my second Moderna vaccine dose yesterday, and it hit me hard today. Instead of doing a new show, I decided to reach back in the archives. Earlier in the week, I noted that it was the 11th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, and played a few minutes from the start of the show. Today, I decided to repeat the whole thing... so, we go back to March 23, 2010. My guests were Congressman Alan Grayson, journalist Ryan Grim, and Brad Friedman of the BradBlog and BradCast.

20210324 Nicole Sandler Show - Midweek Mess with Jack Rice

I got my second Moderna vaccine today. Not knowing if I'd have a reaction or not, I kept things loose for today's show. So, we'll just deal with the midweek madness in general. For example, a jury has been seated in the murder trial for the ex-cop who killed George Floyd. We'll check in with Jack Rice, our defense attorney in Minneapolis for the latest. Israel had another national election-- the fourth in the last two years, and Bibi still didn't garner enough seats to form a government. As we did the last time it appeared that Netanyahu lost his bid, we may try to call a random Israeli citizen... And we'll see whatever else the day brings, and if I get hit with any second dose side effects during the show!
