20210903 Nicole Sandler Show - Ending an Epically Awful Week with John Nichols

The chaotic end to our longest war ever. Hurricane Ida makes landfall in New Orleans on the 16th anniversary of Katrina, devastating the region again. The Supreme Court all but overturns Roe v Wade on its shadow docket in the dead of night. Ida remnants wreak havoc on the northeast, killing at least 45 people in six states, crippling NYC and the surrounding areas. This was an epically awful week. The cynic in me wants to crawl under a rock. My hopefully inner voice wants to believe we can weather these storms too. John Nichols, national affairs correspondent for The Nation will help me navigate the way through, and also talk about his story in the Sept 6/13 issue of The Nation, "Bernie Sanders's Third Campaign"

20210902 Nicole Sandler Show - Welcome to Gilead 2.0 with Lisa Graves and Howie Klein

It's Thursday, the day we get together with Howie Klein of Down with Tyranny and the Blue America PAC. We'll have a serious discussion today about the failure of the Democratic Party to stop the American Taliban's takeover of our country. Yes, I'm referring to the Orwellian law that went into effect in Texas, now with the Trump-packed Supreme Court's seal of approval. It not only criminalizes abortion in the state, but deputizes random idiots to target women who are even considering abortion with lawsuits and possible $10,000 bounties for each one they win. This is such a travesty that our legal expert Lisa Graves (formerly a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the US DoJ) will join us from vacation to weigh in on this horrific ruling to start the show.

20210901 Nicole Sandler Show - Talking Politics with a Republican- Seriously - with Joe Walsh

Today is a perfect example of Opposite World. First, the Supreme Court basically overturned Roe v Wade overnight by not stopping a Texas heartbeat law from taking effect at midnight. We're truly fucked. Today, we'll also hear from the executive producer of The Undercurrent, who got undercover video of Ron Johnson admitting Biden beat Trump in Wisconsin. And the interview today is with Joe Walsh, the former teabagger Congressman who saw the light thanks to Donald Trump. Should be quite a conversation!! I can't wait.

20210831 Nicole Sandler Show - War is Over (If You Want It)

The last US troops departed Afghanistan yesterday, ending our longest war ever. Please let this be the last one (though I know it won't be). Because we live in opposite world, I feel as if I have to defend Joe Biden. He's the only president in the last 20 years who had the balls to actually get us out of that quagmire, despite the political attacks on him. We'll hear some of the officials explain the situation and, once again, will speak with Lucas Kunce, a Marine veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan, who's running for the US Senate from Missouri. And he agrees with me. Or I should say, I agree with him. There's other news happening as well, from Ida to FloriDUH and Covid and beyond. We'll cover as much of it as we can today. But it is ok to celebrate. The war that looked like it would go on forever is finally over. And that's a good thing.
