Russia invaded Ukraine last week, and nothing makes sense any more. There have been some bright spots in the midst of the horror. We're seeing the strength of the Ukrainian people in fighting back in every way conceivable. I'll share some of them with you. Things over there are a mess, but the good news is that Putin's having a tough time of it. It's just you and me today, and the phone lines are open at 954-889-6410 or via Skype to nicolesandler. There's other news too, and none of it is good. My congressman, Ted Deutch, isn't running for re-election. The UN released a new IPCC report (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and it's apocalyptic. Kim Jong Un must be feeling neglected, so he shot off a ballistic missile on Sunday. Russia's not winning so easily, and many fear Putin will retaliate in an even worse way. Belarus is likely to begin sending in troops as soon as tomorrow. And he keeps threatening nukes! And there's more, but I'll save it for the show. We'll have lots to talk about today on the show... very little of it any good. Ugh.

With so much attention focused on Ukraine now for good reason, today, we'll pull back and tell you about a place closer to home with an oppressive ruler who's trying to keep school kids from saying "gay," outlawing abortion after 15 weeks, refusing to protect its citizens, and being an immature ugly excuse for a human being. Of course, I'm talking about the state where I currently reside, FloriDUH and the idiot currently occupying the governor's office, (Mo)Ron Death Sentence. Yes, I know that's childish, but he got up at CPAC yesterday and referred to President Biden as "the Brandon administration". So, Putin did what President Biden and the American intelligence agencies have been saying he'd do, but he forcefully denied until the moment Putin went on the TV to declare he was lying all along. OK, he never admitted that he lied, but the result is the same. He launched a massive invasion and attack upon a sovereign nation-- Ukraine. It's just awful, and it seems that we're powerless to stop him. It is Thursday, so Howie Klein joins in for the second half of the show.

It's Wednesday and my head is spinning with all the different issues facing us today, from Russia invading Ukraine, to Fox & fiends praising Putin's invasion of Ukraine, to the truckers' insane protests, to Floriduh's legislative session doing the unthinkable, to the cases the Supreme Court and its newly enshrined wingnut majority are taking up, and I'd like to just unplug. But instead, I have lots of stories to share, and will open the phone lines to hear what's on your mind today too.

Wow, is it ever Tuesday... It's so much Tuesday that it's TWOSDAY! 2-22-22, a date we won't see the likes of again in our lifetimes. If you're around 400 years from today though, it'll be 2-22-2222. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. It's 2022, and Russia is invading Ukraine. And the Republican party, led by the cretins that populate the Fox NotNews Channel are cheering for Putin over democracy.
