College Football Playoff semifinals preview, Coach Prime speaks on FSU snub & FSU sues ACC
Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger & SI’s Pat Forde are back from the holiday weekend to dissect the latest from the ongoing saga in Tallahassee as FSU has sued the ACC over their grant of rights deal in order to leave the conference. The guys discuss how this move, if granted in favor of Florida State, would open the door for other ACC schools to leave, thereby crushing the conference.Meanwhile, Coach Prime gave his thoughts on Florida State not making the playoffs with an undefeated record and claimed that the CFP committee wouldn’t have left FSU out if he were the head coach there – a bold statement indeed. The guys dive into whether or not Deion Sanders would be enough of a draw to have gotten his team to the CFP bracket on his fame alone.Lane Kiffin impressed again this offseason by retaining his title of the ‘Portal King.’ The Ole Miss head coach, while publicly dissatisfied with the college football offseason, has continued to thrive in its increasingly messy conditions. In other transfer portal news, the NCAA is expected to review new proposals for the portal which include higher academic requirements and penalties for underperforming academic programs. The CFP semifinals are right around the corner, so the podcast breaks down the #4 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide against the #1 ranked Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl and the #3 ranked Texas Longhorns taking the #2 ranked Washington Huskies in the Sugar Bowl.1:00 - FSU sues the ACC over grant of rights deal19:33 - Health of this year’s bowl games23:06 - Deion Sanders speaks on the FSU snub28:31 - ‘Portal King’ Lane Kiffin has the #1 transfer class32:57 - Newest transfer portal proposals?38:48 - Rose Bowl preview: #4 Alabama vs. #1 Michigan56:09 - Sugar Bowl preview: #3 Texas vs. #2 WashingtonFollow Dan @DanWetzelFollow Pat @ByPatFordeFollow Ross @RossDellenger🖥️ Watch this full episode on YouTubeCheck out all the episodes of the College Football Enquirer and the rest of the Yahoo Sports podcast family at https://apple.co/3zEuTQj or at Yahoo Sports Podcasts

Emergency podcast: Florida State is attempting to leave the ACC
Dan Wetzel & Ross Dellenger huddle together after news broke Thursday that Florida State is trying to get out of their grant of rights deal with the ACC in order to move to a new conference. FSU previously made a push to gain entry to the SEC last summer, but were not accepted. The school is now making a bigger push to leave after seeing programs in the SEC and Big Ten generate more revenue than them due to their lucrative deals. The SEC is seemingly the first conference that FSU will chase after, but the Big Ten could swoop in. Dan & Ross discuss whether or not the SEC even wants FSU and how the Big Ten is just trying to stack assets so they could end up making the push for the SeminolesIf Florida State is granted an exit from the conference, we could see the ACC crumble similar to the Pac-12. The guys debate which other schools could leave the conference & whether or not they would be better fits than FSU at a new destination. To close out the podcast, The People’s Court takes on a wild party at a taco bell.1:00 - FSU is attempting to leave the ACC19:24 - Can FSU get into the SEC?31:24 - Will the Big Ten pursue FSU?41:04 - How nervous should the rest of the ACC be right now?52:55 - Emergency People’s Court: Taco Bell editionFollow Dan @DanWetzelFollow Pat @ByPatFordeFollow Ross @RossDellenger🖥️ Watch this full episode on YouTubeCheck out all the episodes of the College Football Enquirer and the rest of the Yahoo Sports podcast family at https://apple.co/3zEuTQj or at Yahoo Sports Podcasts
