A sudden swell of enthusiasm surrounded Vice President Harris' election bid that summer, culminating in 4 days in Chicago where the Democrats united around her and her running mate, Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. While Democrats looked to claim the mantle of 'joy,' the country decided differently a few months later. Today, we look back on a memorable week. Learn more about your ad choices.
