So as a result, he hustles and grinds every day to earn money but eventually loses himself in the process and doesn't have anything more to give when he gets home. He's physically there but emotionally absent. Women tend to notice immediately if their partner is not doing well in the relationship but men, most of the time, will only figure it out later. In this episode, we talk about how men should be proactive and pay attention to the warning signs so they can do something and make a change while it's not too late. Be aware of what's going on around you. If you are being tested by your partners and they are giving you the warning signs, be grateful because you now have the opportunity to make amends. Once you recognize the warning signs, take ownership of what you do as a man and take massive action. If you ignore the warning signs, you will pay the price and will have an even tougher journey later on because you failed to make things right when you had the chance. Break The Rules!
Episode #83 Success does not always mean having material things, making a lot of money and getting that feeling of significance and respect from other people. Many financially successful people are unhappy because they became exhausted hustling and working hard thinking that these things will make them happy. There are so many rules in place that are holding them back and that makes their life monotonous. You end up feeling trapped within yourself from keeping all the emotions and energy inside because you are afraid that people might judge and see your weakness. We oftentimes feel frustrated and anxious because we are FIGHTING our emotions. To gain that peace we seek and break free from the frustration and anxiety, we need to learn to take the first step - which is to surrender. The anxiety and frustrations eventually consume us if we do not let it go. Some men do less but get a lot more done because they are free emotionally. They liberate themselves from this anxiety and depression. It is not how hard you work but taking a look at what is happening inside you that is most important. Do Less And Be More
Episode #081 Today we get to revisit one of our most popular episodes...DO LESS + BE MORE. In today’s face-paced world, it’s so easy to be busy, hustle hustle hustle, go go go. We even measure our success by how busy we are… how often do you tell someone you are busy for them to respond “Great, busy is good”, “I wish i could be busier”. Anyone can be busy, but it’s much harder to be productive... In this episode, Tim shares a story of a business owner who was in hustle mode, working non-stop, living fast and hard but he was also drained and unable to appreciate his success and everything good in his life. His thoughts were telling him things like “you have to take the rough with the smooth” or “Life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows”. This is something we can all relate to, phrases we were brought up hearing and have become ingrained in our psyche. Tim argues that this doesn’t have to be the way and asks why can’t we just have the good?? Life CAN be all sunshine and rainbows!! These 20 minutes of valuable audio will help you discover how you can overcome this kind of negative mentality that can cause you to be so busy you’ll drive yourself into the ground. Tim believes that this train of thought also causes self sabotage, if you tell yourself phrases like “take the rough with the smooth”, then subconsciously you are far more likely to follow something great with something negative and not even realize. A common theme on The Powerfulman show is that you should “be” and not “do”. Keep listening to find out how you can do less and be more, get ready to snap out of hustle mode and enjoy a much more fulfilling life. What you will discover in this episode: The Difference between being productive and busy. How your business can be suffering by lies you tell yourself. Actionable steps to becoming more productive in business and life. How to set yourself free of old phrases that are no longer relevant. How to shift your belief systems. Take off The Mask [REVISIT]
This weeks’ episode brings another very familiar story and common thread for entrepreneurs and business owners. Tim & Doug discuss a true story about a business owner they know, this man is extremely successful but admits he has no idea how he has got the success and feels like he just got lucky. Does this sound like you? Naturally, this leads to extreme insecurity and fear, he doesn’t want his staff or people around him to see this, so he continues to wear the mask of being an all confident, all-knowing leader. Often leaders or business owners can wear a mask that shows them off to be the type of person they think they SHOULD be, however behind closed doors and inside their own heads, they are somebody completely different. They are somebody with huge doubts and insecurities that they don’t want others to see as in case it’s perceived as a weakness. While all of us don’t put on a mask to such a big extent, the likelihood is that all of us put on some form of a mask, we all have insecurities and things we don’t want our colleagues or family/friends to know about. Accepting and facing these insecurities head-on will ensure that they don’t show themselves in a way that damages your life and business. The process of taking the mask off is simple, but also daunting and difficult to bring yourself to do. Taking off the mask means being completely honest with yourself first, asking yourself those important questions that will define your life; Who are you really? What do you want from life? Are you happy? What you will discover in this episode: How to recognize when you are hiding or putting up a facade in life. How your mask can hold you back. The top 3 things you can do immediately in the process of removing the mask. How taking off the mask and embracing vulnerability can give you freedom. Simple actionable techniques to start this process. ————- Hungry for more? Focus On Your Strengths Instead Of Your Weaknesses
Episode #78 In this episode, we talk about the importance of placing an emphasis on your strengths while also being conscious and aware of your weaknesses. The #1 Mistake Men Make
Episode #77 There are 5 territories of your life that when prioritized correctly will lead to success in everything you do. The 5 territories include self, health, wealth and relationships and business. The number one mistake men make is prioritizing business as our foundational territory. This is common as we are taught that as men we should provide for our family. We hustle to make money in order to provide but we often forget that we should also provide emotionally. While we are so focused on our first priority - business - we seldom make time for our loved ones because often times we have no energy left. We also forget to take care of ourselves, our health is often taken for granted because we fail to turn off from the hustle that we give our business. In this episode, we dive deep into society's definition of how to be a man and what it looks like to create our OWN identity by investing in things that could improve our self, our health, and our relationships. What you will learn in this episode: Making ourselves the top priority Creating your own identity Identifying what really matters to you Turn off from all the hustle and make time and invest in the things that could improve yourself and your relationships ————- Hungry for more?
