Tina Beliveau Real Estate Maven on Leadership
Tina Beliveau’s personal mission in life is to inspire, to make meaningful impact through relationships, and to create connection and community between like-minded people. Fueled by a huge passion for leadership, growth, and sharing her talent and energy with those around her, Tina's career has progressed over 15 years in the real estate industry from working as a highly productive solo sales agent, to building one of the most successful real estate teams in Maryland, to building the number one selling real estate office in Maryland, to growing that company from one franchise location with 300 agents to three franchise locations with over 500 agents. Tina is an extremely gifted leader, salesperson, and marketer.
Tina started in the real estate industry in 2005, and quickly built a well-respected name in the local industry through a business model focused on referrals and a reputation for integrity and professionalism. Over this time Tina developed a reputation in the local and national real estate community as a powerful leader who is positive and inspiring, highly credible, and extremely generous with her time, talent, and expertise.
Today, Tina is building a platform for real estate professionals to succeed on their own terms through teaching, consulting, speaking, and facilitating a closely connected community to elevate what's possible for members of her tribe.

Tina lives in the Baltimore suburbs with her husband, Andrew, and their three dogs. Passionate about charity, developing leaders, and giving back to her community, Tina is extremely involved in the Maryland SPCA as a board member and also recently gifted the organization with a transport van that made it possible for the SPCA to double its capacity to deliver pet food to housebound pet owners and transport thousands of animals for rescue. When she isn’t building companies or serving her community, Tina is spending quality time with her loved ones, reading, traveling, mentoring women in business and personal development, and teaching spin classes at Core Cycle Studios in Timonium.

Anthony Marguleas on We Make A Living By What We Give
Anthony Marguleas is the owner of Amalfi Estates, one of Los Angeles’ leading independent real estate companies, providing exclusive representation to both buyers and sellers. Founded in 1995, the company is headquartered in Pacific Palisades.
He has individually sold close to $2 billion in properties and is ranked in the top 25 teams nationwide by The Wall Street Journal out of over one million agents. His award-winning approach to service has been profiled on ABC News and the Fine Living Network, as well as in The Wall Street Journal, Consumer Reports, and the Los Angeles Times. He has published 200 real estate articles and co-authored the book California Real Estate Client Strategies. Since 2004 he has guest lectured 1,000’s of students for UCLA’s real estate principles class.
He holds several professional designations, including Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist. He is a top negotiator, having completed the Advanced Negotiations class at Harvard Business School as well as KARASS seminars negotiating course, which has led to saving his clients hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Marguleas truly believes in giving back to his community and gives back 10% of his commission from each sale among five charities, Make-a-Wish, SPCA-LA, American Cancer Society, Path which helps homelessness, and Homeboy Industries. He and his team have been fortunate to have donated over $1,000,000 since 2015.
Marguleas has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Riverside, where he received the Outstanding Alumnus Award. John Saunders The Optimizer
When he was working on Wall Street, John Saunders (EMBA’17) discovered so much talent in his peers whose skills, he observed, were under-utilized due to their fear of a changing environment. After writing about his observations in a LinkedIn series, Saunders will publish a book titled “The Optimizer” this December.
Saunders wanted to create a greater awareness and show how innovation, albeit frightening, is necessary.
“I really hope to instill this same sort of passion and excitement that I have for leading change in people who read this book,” said Saunders “I hope readers discover how you can build a team of what I like to call “optimizers” or a “team of optimization” to drive meaningful change within your organization.”
The book can be a tool to engage people around in specific missions and processes. When people are energized by being part of the organization, he said, that’s what will drive change. Rallying around the energy they have around their passions is what fuels ingenuity in a business.
He shared that he had not intended to write a book, but after sharing his series of posts with Prashant Malaviya, senior associate dean for MBA programs and associate professor of marketing, Malaviya suggested the posts could be something larger.
Saunders’ engagement at Georgetown extends past the Executive MBA (EMBA) program. He is a member of McDonough’s MBA Alumni Advisory Council (MAAC), he mentors students on Hoya Gateway, and he is a formal EMBA mentor. He attributes this passion for leadership from his time at Georgetown McDonough.
“I will never forget advice I received from Bardia Kamrad, senior associate dean for executive degree programs, who helped me solidify the lessons our professors taught us during this program,” he said. “He asked us to carry the Georgetown values forward by creating opportunities for others, not just yourself.”
“The Optimizer” highlights these pivotal moments during his time at Georgetown McDonough. Saunders suggests that instead of berating failures, that you celebrate and learn from them. That way innovation keeps surging forward to create new opportunities for others down the line.
