93: Sales Secrets Interview with Hailey Rowe

Hailey Rowe is the brains behind Health Coach Nation, where she helps coaches generate leads online and convert them into sales. In this episode we are going to dive into questions you must be asking your prospects as well as how to expand your audience to new heights! Show Notes: Free Gift from Hailey Hailey's  Facebook Group, Health Coach Nation Instagram @hailey_rowe Book a discovery call with Hailey Rowe Partial Transcript: (Download entire transcript HERE) Kimberly Olson: Welcome everyone to The Goal Digger Girl's podcast where we talk about crushing your goals and creating the life of your dreams. For this episode, I have special guests, Hailey Rowe coming in from Health Coach Nation. As you guys know, I'm a lover of all things health and wellness and business combined. So I'm super excited to have her on. Welcome Hailey. Hailey Rowe: Thank you. I'm so excited to be here. Kimberly Olson: Yes, it's going to be awesome. We're, it'll be two nerds just geeking out and you guys can come along for the ride. So I would love a lot of my listeners maybe new to you, so I would love for them to get to know you a little bit better. So do you mind sharing about you, your background, how you got into the entrepreneurial world and just are crushing it on social media and with your business. But can you share a little bit about yourself? Hailey Rowe: Yeah, of course. So, first off, I am a marketing and sales strategist and coach for wellness professionals and coaches. And what I work with them on is getting more traffic, booking more clients, and closing more so with their sales. And I love working with this type of audience because I find that they're really good at what they do, but they tend to not get the support in their certification programs or with their, whichever company they're representing or whatever to really help them grow a business and book clients online. So that's where I come in and I got into all of this because when I first started in the coaching industry 10 years ago in 2010, I was really into wellness and I got all my wellness certifications and I was super excited and I started selling fitness programs as well. Hailey Rowe: And we, you know, did the whole direct marketing network marketing thing and also coached and was just doing all of it. And, I realized that the certification programs weren't really teaching me how to grow my business and I was frustrated. And so I ended up becoming really fascinated with marketing and learning about business. And so I went to school for entrepreneurship and started after college. After that working at some wellness startups. So I started when I was really young and I had to have a legal guardian, like sign my papers for what I did, my first, what I needed in selling fitness programs. It was pretty funny. But anyways, I started working for wellness startups, after school and was in business development in marketing because I didn't feel personally ready to go all in on my own business at that time.

Partial Transcript: (To view the full transcript, click here) Kimberly Olson: Welcome everyone, The Goal Digger Girl's podcast. I'm really all set and I'm so excited to share a special guest with you today, Kelly Anne Gorman, in the house. And we are going to dive in all things entrepreneurialship and aside of being a workaholic, as you guys know, I love working and I found someone else. Well so we're already kindred spirits but Kelly Anne thank you for being on. Kelly Anne Gorman: Thank you so much for having me. And so I did talk to you finally. Kimberly Olson: I know absolutely. I'm excited as well. So I love everything that you're doing on social media through your podcast and I love the message that you are sending out to other working women and I want to find out, I want you to take everyone back, like how did you become an entrepreneur? Take us through just your career. Um, and what, what, how did we get to where we are today? For some who've never heard of you. I'm just glad to say, that's the power of podcasting. So I'd love for them to get to know you a little bit better so if you could share your story. Kelly Anne Gorman: Sure. So I'm going to give you the really long story. I feel like being an entrepreneur, it's always been in my blood. My family opened a bagel shop after my dad left the radio business and that's where my working experience began at I think it was 14 sweeping bagel seeds. So from then I was always working in restaurants, but immediately I always became management and I just always had that like extra fire. Like I wanted to do more and I was in art school half of my life so I always wanted to do something on the creative side. I'm always creating something. Now I do it with programs, but it's so crazy how life happens. Right? So I was actually a pro makeup artist for 16 years and doing and creating my own schedule and traveling the world. I actually actually worked on over 60 cruise ships and yachts doing an insane amount of makeup, same amount of job, not the same norm, but again, these are positions that I created for myself. When it came to the cruise ship industry, I went on as a guest. I had to clear customs as a guest. I was not an employee. I actually worked so long home and when I had that job I wanted to, I was doing makeup professionally in Boston. I'm originally from Rhode Island. I wanted to create a job where I could be traveling and doing makeups. So I pitched every single cruise line via fax by the way.

I'm really excited about this episode because this is the first one I am actually going to record while I'm in my car. I've never done this before. I'll be safe, I promise hands-free all the way. And I was actually inspired by Russell Brunson who is a rock star and he was doing podcasts, a lot of them on the go. And I thought that's kind of amazing. So it's just, I liked that podcast can be so conversational and I think just sharing things that have worked for me and answering those common questions that I hear from you guys in messenger or Facebook, Instagram, even tik-tok. Now I would love to be able to address those for you. So for this episode we are going to talk about how to have that inherent fire and drive when it comes to working on your business every day.  Because a lot of you keep telling me I want it to really, I want to grow, I want to crush it, you know, or if I'm working with someone, maybe they're going to start coaching with me or join my team. And you know they have all the things right, that you have the personality, they have the background you experienced to have success, but they don't. And they come to me and they're like, I want it. I want to jump in and ready to rock and they don't. And then they wonder why. So that's what we're going to talk about today. So please, if you are not a subscriber to this podcast, you get notified when I have new ones. I love your support. If you have the time to leave a review, you have no idea. It means so much to me. And the coolest thing you can do is take a screenshot while you're listening to this and tag me in your stories and I will give you a special shout out.  You can find me at the Goal Digger Girl on Instagram and Facebook. All right, so let's get into it. So I do have internal drive. I have fire every day in my business. I am to make myself go to sleep, you guys to be 2:00 in the morning. Just not uncommon for me. I feel a little weird sometimes. Like what's wrong with me? I feel like Einstein, right? Like he'd sleep like four hours a day and I want to just keep working and keep going and I don't even know how to explain it. I know I'm in Texas and there's a cow walking into the road right now. Oh, he got out of the sun. He is about to get in a really busy road. I need to call somebody. Oh, it looks like the owner. Okay. I'm not even kidding you guys. I was out in the Hill country of Austin, Texas.

90: Rising Above the Haters

As you grow your online presence or decide to pivot in your business, haters may surface. I will share with you my personal story and hopefully prepare you so you can handle any situations that may come your way and rise above! Show Notes: Check out my Facebook Group, The Goal Diggers of Online Marketing, too- for those that want to build their business online through social media, in a genuine and authentic way. Goal Digger University, where you can access my archive and newly released workshops, masterclasses, bonus training PLUS my Mastermind- with weekly live in-depth training for a monthly subscription. Transcription (view the FULL transcription here) Hey Goal Diggers got another car episode for you. If you've listened to any of my recent episodes, I am going rogue with the podcasting because I realized that there's a lot of value to maximizing your time in the car. Right. And I really cannot do anything that is inefficient. So what better way for us to connect then while I'm driving. Right. It's so organic and natural. So I'm super excited because Scott took Addison and Elise to the Safari cause his in-law or his aunt and uncle are visiting and I had some stuff I had to get done. So he was like, Hey, let me take them and you know, you'll meet up with us later. And I was like, awesome. So I'm actually doing some shopping. I have a photo shoot coming up. Just need some fresh stuff for marketing and I am shopping you guys like, do you ever like get in the checkout lane and they have like the cute like underwear and you're like, I don't remember the last time I bought any underwear for myself.  I usually just buy clothes for my kids. So I am beyond excited for this experience. So I'm taking it along for the ride. So we're going to chat about rising above the haters because you might have them openly, you might have them right in your household, not even realizing it, but we're going to talk about why you do not want to retaliate, but you also want to protect yourself. There's a fine line of being bullied and there's a fine line of putting a lot of energy into taking someone else down. Okay? So as you grow your business and as you grow on social media, you are going to run into some haters. You know, it could be as simple as someone messaging you back something nasty. If you reach out to them about taking a look at your business, it could be, you know, a spouse saying something like, you know, is this, you're not even making any money.  This isn't even a real business, right? Can anyone relate to that? Or it could be some nasty person in your company. This often happens when maybe you are doing one business and you want to add on another business. You know, you're representing two companies. It can happen when you decide to move to a different company or maybe just do something different completely. And that's often when a lot of the hating comes out. So it's so interesting to me because this is definitely a challenge in our industry and why it's gotten such a bad rap is that there's just this, it's called commissionship and commissionship is when your uplines or even people on your team, they will maintain their friendship with you and accept you as long as you're on their team and you know, you're helping them with their commissions or they're benefiting from your work and making money off of you.

89: How to Overcome a Scarcity Money Mindset

Whether you're not making enough or are spending what you make, learning how to identify and smash money mindset blocks is essential for long-term, financial success. Listen to my step-by-step process to crush your money blocks! Partial Transcription: For full Transcription, click HERE What's up Goal Digger, how's it going? I know you're having a fabulous day and you're ready to tackle the scarcity money mindset. This is such an important tool to master and have in your toolbelt, because when you start making more money than you have been making, or maybe you're looking back and going, I make way too much money to be living paycheck to paycheck, or I have to think about money every time I make a purchase or not be able to just buy things. You know, and I see this all the time when people are getting into online marketing network marketing, coaching, and they're adding that additional stream of income and then they wonder, where's the money? Right?  So I went through this myself as my income grew. You know, I've gone from 10 years ago when we moved to Texas making 30 some thousand dollars a year to, I can make, you know, I've made that in a few days now, which is crazy to say out loud. And the thing that it took me some time to catch up is that I wasn't addressing these old limiting beliefs that I had from not just childhood but adulthood. And if you don't address them and understand them, then you will subconsciously either sabotage your success or you will spend all your money.  That's what I see most often in my practice with my clients. So understanding scarcity, money, mindset issues, and identifying them and smashing them and just the stories you tell yourself and tell your kids and even your spouse are really, really impactful to changing these beliefs at a subconscious level. So when it comes to scarcity, money mindset, really important thing to do first is just to think about as a child, you know, what was it like? Was it a money doesn't grow on trees? Was it a feeling of there's never enough, was there a lot of kids in your family?  So, you know, it was always hand me downs and slim pickings for things. Or were you someone who had a lot of money, just didn't understand it and don't really know how to manage it? You know, there's, there's some beliefs there, there's some things that you will want to address. So I encourage you to spend some time maybe journal and just ask yourself, what did you grow up with? What beliefs have you carried on from your family? And a lot of times we just pass them right on. We pass them right onto our kids and we attract significant others that often have some of those limiting beliefs as well.  It's also very common for money to be an issue in marriage. It's the number one cause of divorce and as Dave Ramsey says there's a spender and there's a saver usually. So understanding where both of you, your backgrounds and your beliefs come from, can be really, really important to work through on your own.

Taylor Thompson: Oh, thank you so much Kimberly. I'm so excited to be here. Kimberly Olson: Wow. Oh my gosh. So I actually had the privilege of learning from you and your husband in a training. I was part of a Ray Higdon's TEC Top Earners Club and you know I would always catch the replays cause I could never catch the live. So I would kind of look at the different, you know, videos that had been shared in there and you guys just pulled me in, which I never do because I'm add, I watched your entire training twice. Oh my gosh. There's so much gold here in nuggets. So for those listening, if you guys don't know who Taylor is, you are going to get to learn all about her in this exclusive interview. And I'm so thankful that she was able to take time out of her busy schedule cause she is, to hear about her journey in as an entrepreneur in the network marketing space. And she's going to offer advice for you guys listening today. So Taylor, to start. Take everyone back to what first got you into your network marketing business. When was it? What was the story? Set the stage for us. Taylor Thompson: Okay. Wow. Well thank you so much Kimberly. It's just an honor to be here and thank you so much for tuning in, but I mean to go back on your Mac, that's 28 years ago. I can't even believe I'm saying that out of my mouth because that certainly ages me tremendously. I mean like 28 years ago, Kimberly Olson: You were five years old. Taylor Thompson: Yes. I was, I started when I was born, right? Like I,uyou know, I was the girl that grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. You know, I never, I grew up in West Texas. I was,ou know, I was the latch key kid. You never, I mean, I, my family didn't do college. You know, I was not that, I wasn't, that girl to be set up for success. And then, what happened for me is that I did ended up going to college. I was really kind of thinking I was going to be this major. I was going to just blow all the preconceived ideas about my life, what that was going to look like out of the water. And,o I ended up getting married to my college sweetheart, who was an amazing athlete and ended up in the NFL. Taylor Thompson: And so that was going to have the princess life. But due to a career injury, we found ourselves back in West Texas and I had a brand new baby. And so for me it was you know, as a mom, and I know there's probably a lot of moms that are going to be listening here, you know, everything changes, perspective changes, priorities change. The first time you look in the baby blues, I mean, everything goes out the window and everything becomes about that bundle of joy. Everything becomes about them. And so for me, it became a way, how can I, how can I make money? How can I contribute to my household and still be able to have mom care versus daycare. And that really set the course for me. And I did, you know,  you have to keep, you have to go back and a lot of you are listeners here, like, you know, you have to think about like there was no social media, there was no internet, there was no cell phones.

Welcome. So excited to share with you today how to get out of debt. Get in the green with your business. My name is Kimberly Olson. I'm your hostess. And for episode 87 we're going to talk about money. Money is your friend, money loves you and a lot of you don't believe that. So we're going to talk about that and more in this episode. But first I want to share a listener review. This comes from Stephanie Draper Collette, who actually I've gotten to know really well. She's an amazing person. Thanks for the review, my friend. It says, if you are looking for someone who has been in the trenches and totally gets where you're coming from and how to teach you to reach and surpass your goals, Kimberly is your girl. I follow her trainings, plug my team in and refer all of my direct sales and small business friends to Kimberly. I always tell her she's somehow in my head because she knows exactly what I need to hear. So is that kind of like at church when you feel like the pastor is looking right at you and talking to you? Sometimes I feel like that. Well, thank you so much Stephanie for the review. I appreciate it. And if you haven't, please listen. Listen to the podcast. Leave a review, tag me in your stories, take a screenshot of you listening and I will shout you out as well. And I so appreciate it. I know it takes time to do that and it just means the world to me. So thank you Stephanie that everybody listening and supporting this podcast. So if you don't know my history, I have dug my way out of six figures of debt and it was really, really hard because we were in a position where you know, we were making great money at this big fancy corporate job. We built our dream home, bought two new vehicles, got Addison into a daycare. It's really expensive in Austin, Texas. Unfortunately it's one of the highest in the country. And then Elise came along unexpectedly. And so we had another one to put in daycare and let's just say we'd bit off a little bit more than we could chew. So like a lot of families, we were living beyond our means and it wasn't, you know, us being frivolous. I mean, outside of what I just shared. I mean, we weren't going and traveling and jet-setting we weren't, you know, buying all these things, but it's so common for people to get in these situations and then they don't know how to get out of it. So I think one of the smartest things that people can do is to start a side hustle because it allows you to be able to continue getting that salary or a commission structure from a corporate job and have that income source while you build up your network marketing business....... 15 Minute Facebook Party Workshop 2020 TikTok for Business Workshop (Partial) Transcript: For the full transcript, click here Wow. I do look at all of those and I like to shout people out or take a screenshot of you listening to this podcast and tag me in your Instagram or Facebook stories you can find me at the Goal Digger Girl. So this week's listener review is from Stacy Rentfro. She says, Kimberly is just positive and engaging. I've really struggled the last couple of years and I made it my goal to engage more with positive people, whether personally, whether I personally know them or not. She's also a wealth of online marketing info. Well, thank you Stacy. I so appreciate that. I've always loved knowledge my whole life and I think that's why I love teaching so much because I can just share that knowledge with others. So if for those that have been listening to the podcast for awhile, I don't know about you, but when I've seen people podcasting out there, I always imagined them like in a studio, you know like when you see artists and like you know Carrie Underwood and the champion that that music video like in their studio, you know, producing and it's just really awesome. Well I just want you to know, I just got done with this killer 16 minute group coaching call with the girls in the business Academy and then found out there was some last minute tax forms needed and I had no knowledge of this, don't you just love tax season. So it's been a little bit of a frenzy to gather some stuff together, but it's almost, it's, it's past 10 o'clock at night and this has to be done. And I thought, you know what, I'm just going to switch hats. I'm going to pull up, pull up my podcast Yeti, I use the Yeti microphone. I'm going to pull up audacity, which is what I use to record. I already have my topic planned out and I'm just going to go. And that's one of the, the neat things about being an entrepreneur and developing those skill sets where you can just switch hats so I'm not in some amazing posh, awesome recording studio. I'm in this like hot mess express office and I'm at my desk right now making this happen. So I appreciate you letting me be myself. Good, bad or ugly. I am here for you today and I've got a really cool topic today cause I know that the number one struggle I hear from network marketers, online marketers, those that are trying to build their business on social media is getting more people, right? Kimberly Olson: Hello and welcome to episode 85 this is Kimberly Olson from the Goal Digger Girl and today I have on the podcast interview, THE Rob Sperry. If you followed me at all, you know that I'm always talking about him because he was one of my very first mentors and continues to be somebody that I look up to and I'm always learning from. So welcome, Rob. We're so excited to have you on today. Rob Sperry: Oh, thanks for having me. I always feel honored even though I can play a small portion, 1% and all the success and everything you've done. I just love how you just, I always tell you that you just get into action. You just make things happen every day. I'm like, Oh, what she's launching today to make happen today. Like your mover and shaker. Kimberly Olson: Thank you. I appreciate it. Well, I, when I was struggling with social media, you were one of the first people that was teaching to stop spamming. You joked around about Spamala Pamela. But I was like, that's how I want to build my business. I want to feel, you know, I'm making real connections with people. And that I'm not, you know, doing that. I want to learn about attraction marketing. So I, you were one of the first people that I realized that that was possible. And I was like, actually I could maybe make this a career cause it was just sort of a hobby, you know, up until that point. So you were integral piece of that and you are just a pillar of this industry and helping us level up. And that's why I'm excited for people to get to know you if you're new to Rob. And also we're going to talk about his new book, which I'm jazzed out of my mind to talk about because I've had a chance to get a sneak peek and it is phenomenal. So let's bring our listeners up to speed. Can you share a little bit about yourself and your entrepreneurial journey? Rob Sperry: Yeah, absolutely. I um, it's kinda weird cause I feel like I'm both extremes. I'm in the extreme of an introvert and my, you default to your nature as a kid to know what your true nature is or was. Right. Um, and I was always the shyest kid by far. Like I was so shy that my dad had, uh, threatened to ground me if I didn't swing the baseball bat because I was so scared to even swing the baseball bat, I wouldn't go to my friend's house without my brother and my brother was two years younger than me. So, um, was pretty shy. Yeah. But then I won in like fifth grade for like being friendliest cause I was always like, I always just wanted to be nice to everyone. I wanted everyone to like me. I'm a recovering people pleaser, I always like to say. Grab the full transcript here

84: The Two Metrics You Need to Grow Your Biz

When you treat your business like a hobby, you're going to get results that reflect that. Tracking these two key metrics will be a game changer for your biz! Show Notes: Check out my Facebook Group, The Goal Diggers of Online Marketing, too- for those that want to build their business online through social media, in a genuine and authentic way  My YouTube Channel, The Goal Digger Girl, and my #getLIT series. Transcription: Download the full transcript here! Partial Transcription: Welcome everyone to the Goal Digger Girl podcast where we talk about crushing your goals and creating the life of your dreams. I'm Kimberly Olson, your hostess, and today for episode 84 we're going to talk about the two metrics you need to grow your business. But first a listener review. This listener, Stephanie says, I think she's smart and awesome. She knows her stuff very cut to the point and she doesn't drag stuff out. Thank you so much Stephanie. I really appreciate your to the point review as well. If you haven't put a review in, please do. It really helps. My podcast helps keep me going to be able to deliver this free content to you every week and it means so much to me, so thank you Stephanie for saying that. I do try to get to the point, it's kind of funny. I used to be teased because when I first got into sales, one of the first things I did was to do an interview process with Cutco cutlery, knives. If you've ever sold Cutco, then you know how tough of a gig it is. So I was actually in management and so we had to do these interviews a couple of times a day. There are 90 minutes is how long they were supposed to be. There were scripted but you had to memorize them and pretend like it was real and off the cuff. And mine were always about 67 minutes. Like I would shave off like a half an hour because I talked so fast and it's just is what it is. So now it's actually serving me and today we are going to cut to the chase as well. So what I want to do today for you is I want to give you two metrics that you need to be tracking because it still amazes me when I ask people, you know, how many people do you reach out to every month? How many people are on your email list? You know, they have no idea. They literally have no idea. I have my numbers written down. I look at them, I have to know my numbers because it tells me the growth of my business. It helps me to know am I doing the do, am I putting the effort out there on social media, connecting with people, putting out great content? Am I doing my job to grow my business? And so I'm, I know there's so many different numbers that you can track and I get that. So I want to make it so simple for you. I want you just to understand and go, Oh, this makes perfect sense because these two metrics I'm going to share with you, you're going to see that all the other things that you do, whether it's you're trying to get more video views and your Facebook lives or more comments on your post on Instagram, they're all going to point to these two metrics.
