Hello, everyone, Kimberly Olson, here also known as The Goal Digger Girl, coming in live for a special interview with an amazing Goal Digger. We're going to talk about how she built it, and I want to welcome her on a minute, but first I've got to brag on her a little bit because I'm totally girl crushing. I'm officially obsessed with this woman. And I literally was reading her bio and I was like, okay, vision! Vision board here! Goals, here! because I totally want to create my own story that's just like her. I'm excited for you guys to get to meet her and hear about her story and how she's built a huge empire. So we're going to be interviewing Heidi Leist. So Heidi is an entrepreneur and she's going to be sharing about how she got started in a minute. But I just want to read a little bit about what she's done. So giving back to the community has been a part of Heidi's passion since the beginning. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the company sends hundreds of complimentary loving care gift sets to Cancer patients. From the letters received from recipients, Heidi and her team compiled inspirational survivor stories, and with the assistance of Momosa publishing, released the book, Soul Soothing Stories of Cancer Survivors.
Kimberly Olson:
So if any of you have Cancer survivors in your family, friends in your circle that you care about, I want you guys to grab that book, Soul Soothing Stories of Cancer Survivors. In 2020, Heidi and her team launched a company-wide campaign to link arms with Feeding America. Thousands of meals have been provided as a result of this effort during COVID. In addition, a Giving Back Campaign was so successful that nearly $17,000 was raised for nonprofit breast cancer research and prevention organizations. I mean! Each year thousands of rejuvenating foot kits are sent to members of our active military overseas to the Operation Freedom Feet Initiative. A special human kindness kit was curated to support victims of trafficking, which y'all know I'm very passionate about abuse or trauma. Our consultant community conducts fundraisers to sponsor kids and company donations are made to victim centers which shows it's a part of the mission throughout the whole company because her consultants are very actively participating in this, right?

This is just literally, like I said, you are going to be one of those people that I will keep in my mind as I work really hard to grow my own vision, and mission and brand, and I just, we need more people like you in this world. All right, so we're going to talk about how to have a millionaire mindset. And I've got to tell you, my first full year in my business I made a quarter of a million dollars, which is a lot of money, right? Like, "wow, that's amazing". Didn't have any at the end of the year. So I was like, "well, obviously I'm doing something wrong". And I had a lot of limiting beliefs around money. I had a lot of things I had grown up with that- money. There wasn't enough money. Right. Have you ever heard, "money doesn't grow on trees?". What we did is we would go to the store and pick out like three shirts, two pairs of jeans and new pair of shoes and put them on layaway for a few months. I mean, we were on reduced lunch. I mean, everyone has obviously their stories, but we just did not have money.
I mean, it was like my mom sacrificed so much for us. She was a single parent. And I grew up thinking that there was never enough money, just ingrained in who I was. So then I go on to college and get my first credit card, right. Rack up money on there and just don't have any good skillsets when it comes to money. Like no one taught me, "this is how you budget. This is how you balance a checkbook", or any of that stuff. And I really struggled. I really did. I racked up a lot of debt. I would pay it off and then something else would come into play. You know, I'd buy a new car and have this huge car loan. Can anyone relate to that? Where you're just like, "gosh, it's just insane".

We get to talk to Christina Whiteley all about crushing your business, your confidence, and being your authentic self. Couldn't imagine somebody who's more authentic. She's actually the reason why I decided to pivot my business. We were in a coaching program together and got to know each other pretty well and just were like two kids in a sandbox, like just magnetized to each other. We have a lot in common and she was kind of at a decision for her own company that she was in. So she had left and I was still where I was, but I had decided to take a break. Welcome back to another episode, Goal Digger. So excited to share this with you today because I have been looking, I've been watching, I've been implementing and I've narrowed it down to three trends that I am absolutely jumping on. I already have, and I'm going to encourage you to do that as well for this year because things come and go. But there are some things that will stand the test of time. And I believe these three will. So thanks, Sheila. All right. So we're going to talk about three trends that I am definitely jumping on. The first one is Clubhouse, are you surprised? Now at the time of this recording, it is still growing. It's still new, but it is exploding. It is absolutely exploding. The numbers, it's crazy. I think it was at a million users in January and it's at, maybe, I want to say a hundred million by now? My numbers could be wrong, you might have to Google it, but it's exponential. The reason why I do encourage this one for your list of skillsets to incorporate in your marketing is that Clubhouse is really about connection and collaboration. It gives you the opportunity to get in front of people that you never would, otherwise. I have met so many people that I've never crossed paths with on Facebook or Instagram, but I'm able to meet them on Clubhouse.
And the way Clubhouse is set up right now, it allows people to click through to your profile on Instagram. So you have your Clubhouse profile, but when people click it, it is linked to your Instagram. So just with the click of a button, they can go to your Instagram account, obviously right away, they're going to follow you. And I have noticed that my following has doubled and my engagement has increased on Instagram. But I've also noted it has helped elevate my personal brand. Because the nature of the platform is to allow people to collaborate, like I said. Hosting rooms, you can even have your own club now. And by leveraging this, I have been able to establish myself as an authority figure in my space as someone who knows what she's talking about. So if you would love a captive audience or an opportunity to participate in someone else's room, you can be seen as that authority figure by participating in a great conversation, whether it's a great question or contributing

I'm so excited to spend some time with you today, and I have a special guest, total amazing gift that I'm going to be able to extend to you by having an awesome conversation with one of my mentors, coach, I mean saved my life person. And she's on speed dial, I'm obsessed with her. Talk about her pretty much every day. So I'm going to get to share her with you guys today. Hi, Michelle. Welcome, I'm so excited!

Hi, how are you?
Kimberly Olson:
So I met Michelle in the summer of 2017. I had just started my network marketing business that Spring, and I was about two, three months in and I had made the money, made the comma check. And then my next paycheck was $200 because I self-sabotaged, I had these destructive habits that were holding me back. It was mostly my mindset, to be honest. Every day I would wake up like thinking I was a horrible person, not a great mom.
Kimberly Olson:
You know, who's going to listen to me, just all this stuff. So a friend referred me to Michelle and we did our work remotely, but I was like, you know what? I'm just going to go all in and be totally coachable because I believe that this woman can help me. And my back is against the wall, I cannot live like this anymore. I had struggled with alcohol abuse. A lot of you guys know my story and I knew that network marketing could be the way that I could change our financial story and quit my job and be home with my kids. So I started working with Michelle in the summer of 2017, did everything that she said, read the books, did the homework, did the calls with her. And it took about six weeks of working with her, for me to make a complete transformation.
Kimberly Olson:
But I literally had a complete transformation. I went from someone who started the day already feeling horrible, to waking up with excitement, waking up with joyful expectation, waking up going, "you can do this. You can crush this day. You can help people. You can offer value and you can grow your darn network marketing business". I was able to walk away from alcohol that was three and a half years ago, and I really believe that it would not have happened without your help, Michelle, and you, you know, I'm always singing your praises, but think about, not only have you changed my life, but you've changed my kids' lives. They have their mom back. My husband has his hot wife back, right? His confident, sexy, wife back. And most importantly, think of the people who've come across The Goal Digger brand in the last three and a half years, and so all those people that wouldn't even, it wouldn't even be in existence.

All right, Goal Digger. So we're going to get into the three step system, the three step sales system, the funnel, the sales funnel of all sales funnels. This is literally what I use today. I'm a top earner or a top recruiter in my network marketing company. I was recently recognized as number two recruiter globally for 2020, at the time of this recording. I'm also a seven figure earner. So if you are like, "okay, I'm ready. Like I want to learn what people are doing out there, aside from cold messaging and spamming", but really being able to build their business in a way that feels authentic to them and the people that they're talking to, this training is for you. When you hear the word sales funnel, it can sound a little intimidating because technically a sales funnel is a marketing term that comes from all of the leads that you generate.
When you put them into a sales funnel, that's going to be a landing page, right? Have you ever opted in to get some kind of free training or an ebook? When you put your name and number or your name and email in, you're coming into the top of the sales funnel. The top of the sales funnel's the widest, because that's where the leads come in, that's the most that you have. Then you get the email that's like, "Hey, you want to buy?", or there's a tripwire. So when you opt in the next page is like, "Hey, get this thing for $17". You've got so many people that do that.

So just to share what's been going on with me this year, it's been a little bit tough. We've had so many blessings, so many wonderful things, our business is on track to do $2 million this year. We've opened up a couple of different programs, we released Ignited Life Coaching. It's an ascension program we have for those that want to get into coaching or monetize their brand. We've had - that has just been amazing.
Just a small group of women, very intimate, really, really fills my heart up. And as you know, our flagship program, Six-Figure Breakthrough. So, many, many wonderful things this year. And I've also been up against some challenges. So it started happening about middle of January, I started noticing some issues with my voice. And I was looking back at my schedule and you're supposed to, you know, if you're talking a lot, it's just like working out, you can overuse your voice. Well, I had been preparing for our January challenge and doing batch recordings for YouTube videos, podcasts, and then with the release of our new program, I was recording all the modules for that on top of all the other content that you see me doing on Facebook live and things like that. So it came out to about 35 hours a week of trainings, recordings, all of that.
And then not to mention messenger, talking to my team, and my family and friends.

And what I just, among many things, love about you, I love how on just on-point your posture is, I love that you just unapologetically are creating the life that you want for you and your family. Goal Diggers, I know as you listen to this, that you probably have struggled with people pleasing at some point in time and, you know, finding your voice, it can take some time. Right? It can take some work. I find that it, when I work with women, one-on-one, it's often them not voicing their desires. Like they're almost afraid, right. Or to speak up. So let's talk about that. Let's talk about why pleasing everyone around you is impossible. It actually can be a bit destructive and it's a way that when you think about how you want to find your voice and stop trying to make everyone happy, let's shift your perspective on it. 'Cause I think we're afraid of the outcome of that. Right? But let's talk about why it can be destructive, how you can break this cycle of events. And then first let's have a listener review.

Now let's dive into this episode on stopping the people pleasing and finding your voice.
So when it comes to being a people pleaser, I'm a recovering people pleaser. I grew up in a home where, you know, you were acknowledged or you have more attention when you did something well. It was expected to achieve, like I was just raised in that kind of environment. Okay. And I think, really looking back, like my parents always did the best that they could. Right. My mom was a single parent, we lived with my grandfather for many years. But what happened was, is that became part of who I was. I became a people pleaser in relationships, in work, with my family. And I found it very hard to speak my voice. So if I had an opinion about something or I wanted to disagree with someone, I found it very hard to speak.
My greatest example is, let's say someone on your team does something that's inappropriate, maybe in a group chat, they're being negative. In the past, I wouldn't reach out to that person and say anything. I would just be like, "ahhh!". Like almost like passive aggressive. Just like, let it go. Right. Well now, because I've learned how to grab my voice and use it, I would reach out to that person privately and say, "Hey, just so you know, the group chat is for- needs to stay positive. If you need to vent or you feel frustrated, I need you to come to me privately". No big deal. Right? Just say it.
