Bernard is an American Roman Catholic theologian, religious historian, and scholar of spirituality. A specialist in Medieval mysticism, McGinn is widely regarded as the preeminent scholar of mysticism in the Western Christian tradition. He is best known for his comprehensive series on mysticism, The Presence of God. Welcome to More Christ, where we seek to bring some of the world's most interesting and insightful guests to discuss life's central and abiding questions.  In this fifty sixth episode in a series of discussions, I'm joined by the great Gregory Koukl.  Greg Koukl is a Christian apologist, radio talk show host, author, speaker, and the founder of the Christian apologetics organization Stand to Reason. Greg founded Stand to Reason in 1993 and currently serves as President of Stand to Reason. He has spoken on more than 70 college and university campuses both in the U.S. and abroad and has hosted his own call-in radio show for 27 years, advocating for “Christianity worth thinking about.” He has debated atheist Michael Shermer on national radio and Deepak Chopra on national television. An award-winning writer and best-selling author, Greg has written seven books, including The Story of Reality—How the World Began, How It Ends, and Everything Important that Happens in Between; Tactics—A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions, and Relativism: Feet Firmly Planted in Mid-Air. Greg has been featured on Focus on the Family radio and has been interviewed for CBN and the BBC. He's been quoted in Christianity Today, the U.S. News & World Report, and the L.A. Times.  Greg received his Masters in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics at Talbot School of Theology, graduating with high honours, and his Masters in Christian Apologetics with honours from Simon Greenleaf University. He is an adjunct professor in Christian apologetics at Biola University.

Welcome to More Christ, where we seek to bring some of the world's most interesting and insightful guests to discuss life's central and abiding questions.  In this fifty fifth episode in a series of discussions, I'm joined by Dr Jeremy Begbie.  Jeremy is Thomas A. Langford Distinguished Professor of Theology at Duke Divinity School, Duke University, where he directs Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts. His primary research interest is the correlation between theology and the arts, in particular the interplay between music and theology. He is also an Affiliated Lecturer in the Faculty of Music at the University of Cambridge.  He is an ordained minister at the Church of England. Being a professional musician, he has performed as a pianist, oboist, and a conductor.  He is known for his writing and lecturing in theology and the arts, especially music. In September 1997 he founded the Theology Through the Arts project, whose primary aim was "to discover and demonstrate ways in which the arts can contribute towards the renewal of Christian theology". Aspects of the project include conversation among artists and theologians, academic lectures, publications, and arts festivals.  For his book, Resounding Truth: Christian Wisdom in the World of Music, Begbie won the 2008 Christianity Today Book Award in the theology/ethics category.

Dr. Klyne Snodgrass is an American theologian and author, who served as professor of New Testament Studies at the North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois, USA from 1974 to 2015.   His magnificent publication Stories with Intent: A Comprehensive Guide to the Parables of Jesus garnered a 2009 Christianity Today Book Award. He has followed this up with a stirring book on identity in Christ, at a time of identity crisis. We also speak about his exciting forthcoming volume, You Need a Better Gospel: Reclaiming the Good News of Participation with Christ.

Welcome to More Christ, where we seek to bring some of the world's most interesting and insightful guests to discuss life's central and abiding questions.  In this forty ninth episode in a series of discussions, I'm joined by the delightful Dr Michael J. Gorman.  Michael J. Gorman is an American New Testament scholar. He is the Raymond E. Brown Professor of Biblical Studies and Theology at St. Mary's Seminary and University. From 1995 to 2012 he was dean of St. Mary's Ecumenical Institute.  Gorman specializes especially in the letters, theology, and spirituality of the apostle Paul. He is associated with the "participationist perspective" on Paul's theology. His additional specialties are the book of Revelation, theological and missional interpretation of Scripture, the gospel of John, and early Christian ethics. Gorman was born and raised in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, graduating from Glen Burnie High School in Glen Burnie, Maryland. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude in French from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. He received the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy cum laude in New Testament from Princeton Theological Seminary, where he was also a teaching fellow in New Testament and an instructor in New Testament Greek. He has also been a visiting professor at Duke Divinity School, Regent College, Carey Baptist College (New Zealand), Wesley Theological Seminary, and two theological schools in Africa. Gorman has led several study trips to Greece/Turkey/Rome and to France/Switzerland. A United Methodist, Gorman is an active layperson and a popular teacher at colleges, seminaries, churches, and conferences representing many traditions. In the mid-2010s, despite still being a Methodist, Gorman began teaching in a Roman Catholic context. His older son, Rev. Dr. Mark Gorman, is a pastor and theologian who is also on the faculty of St. Mary's Ecumenical Institute.  Gorman is the author of nearly twenty books and more than sixty articles on Biblical interpretation and on ethics.

Wright. Wendy M. Wright holds a PhD. from the University of California at Santa Barbara and is currently Professor of Theology at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, holding the John C. Kenefick Faculty Chair in the Humanities. She also teaches regularly in several graduate ministerial programs including Creighton's Christian Spirituality Master's program and the Academy for Spiritual Formation.  Her expertise falls in the areas of history of spirituality, family spirituality, spiritual direction, and women and spirituality. Her academic work has focused on the Salesian spiritual tradition founded by Francis de Sales and Jane de Chantal. She is a frequent contributor to Weavings and Family Ministry.
