TAS 074 : Matthew Cummins Sells a LOT of Bike Accessories online in Australia

Welcome back to the show, Matthew Cummins joins us this week from https://www.cyclestation.com.au. a bricks and mortar bike and bike accessories retailer in Albury NSW. Matthew has grown the online side of the business to 7 figures P/A in the last few years through a combination of website and marketplace sales. He’s achieved this remarkable growth through AdWords, and importantly growing a substantial email list. Building and having your own list is vital as over a period of time it reduces your reliance on a single channel for traffic, like Google, eBay, Catch or Amazon. It means if anything goes wrong, like an Algorithm update from Google or a suspension from a marketplace, you’re still in business. We dive in and discuss eBay, Catch and Amazon Australia, how he manages a catalogue of over 20,000 SKU’s and his plans to grown Cycle Station into a monster online business. Speaking on having your own list as an Amazon Seller, Regina Peterbergsky’s having another Chatbot workshop on Thursday 31 October 2019 so head to www.theaustralianseller.com/bots and use EBCT to save $250! On Tuesday the 27th October, I’ll be co-hosting an Amazon meet up at the Honey Bar in Melbourne with Retail Global and Payoneer. Stay tuned for details there… The post TAS 074 : Matthew Cummins Sells a LOT of Bike Accessories online in Australia appeared first on The Australian Seller.

This week we welcome back Hamish Conway from www.SellGlobal.co.nz Hamish was on the show last year on Episode 32. He has lots of clients now from both New Zealand and Australia selling on Amazon Australia – so today we dive deep into how Amazon Australia is travelling compared to some of the other established marketplaces such as eBay and Catch. TAS 070 : Developing your own products, defensibility and the hits and misses with George Gruber GPG2

This week’s guest is George Gruber and a close friend of mine since 2014. We first met in Hong Kong at a tradeshow. George has amazing product development experience and has helped me on various projects over the years. I thought it’d be great to invite George onto the show to bring a new perspective to creating proprietary products and selling them successfully on Amazon, rather than just the ‘source a product on Alibaba’ private label model. George and I have also partnered on a few products where we split the costs and the profits down the middle, to reduce risk, gain experience and also to have fun. George creates unique products based on either his own needs or problems he sees other people experiencing. He’s trained his mind to be on the look-out for ‘solutions’ rather than complaining about frustrations. We also talk about keyword optimisation on Amazon and our keyword optimisation strategies for some of his product listings. I really hope you enjoy our conversation today. Private Coaching? If you’ve done an Amazon course, or you’re in the middle of one, or even if you’re just starting out, shoot me a message  Chris@christhomas.com.au to have a chat first about where you’re at beforehand or book me directly for an hour at www.theaustralianseller.com/chris – The post TAS 070 : Developing your own products, defensibility and the hits and misses with George Gruber GPG2 appeared first on The Australian Seller.

TAS 069 : Selling Food on Amazon. From Pots and Pans to Care Pack success. Reuben Schroeder from Hangry Kits explains

This week’s guest is Reuben Schroeder who comes to us from his home city of Seattle. Reuben’s a member of The Australian Seller Facebook group and about 6 weeks ago asked if anyone wanted to meet with him because he was visiting my home town of Melbourne for a few days. Steven Loi, Matt and I were catching up for a mastermind lunch, so I invited Reuben along. So over lunch, Reuben told us his story of selling care-packs on Amazon and building the successful brand, Hangry Kits which you’ll hear about shortly during out chat. If you’re wondering what a ‘care-pack’ is, well, you’d better keep listening. As you’ll learn, selling food on Amazon isn’t easy, the margins are thin, the competition is cut-throat, and melting chocolate and use-by dates can be a nightmare! Private Coaching?
