Fall Retreat | Rob Conti | Sunday MorningEvery good or bad thing that happens to you is an opportunity to glorify the Lord and share the gospel. We are called to be witnesses of the gospel. We deserve God’s wrath but Jesus came and took it all so He could give us His righteousness. Because of this, He is worthy of our obedience. We need to get to work, Christ will return.Paul spent his life in and out of prison and later got his head taken off because of His boldness to tell people about Jesus. No matter what the cost, we’re called to obey Christ. Spend your time pursuing the Lord and investing in eternal souls. Use your suffering and hardships for the sake of the gospel. Fall Retreat | Brody Holloway | Saturday MorningWe need to be willing to tell people about Jesus, for only the power of the gospel saves people. In Acts 4, Peter is thrown into prison right after preaching a sermon that leads to the salvation of thousands. Conflict will come, but all opposition will never stop the advancement of the gospel. If anything, opposition often accelerates the advancement of the gospel. Peter saw the risen Lord Jesus, and that drove him to such gospel boldness that he willingly suffered prison and ultimately death. We need to be on guard. Opposition is coming in your lifetime. When people following Christ are squeezed, the gospel will flourish. You are called to boldly preach the gospel and be all about Jesus.
