Be Strong | Rob Conti | Sunday MorningThe Levitical priesthood was designed to point to something better. Christ is superior because His priesthood will never end. There is now no need to sacrifice bulls and goats to make atonement for our sin. Christ’s work was finished on the Cross. Then what does it mean for Jesus to be our Great High Priest?Through Christ’s death, He offers us eternal redemption. This means we’re no longer separated from God. The throne of judgment has now become the throne of grace and mercy. We can come boldly to Him in prayer. We are now priests. Men, we can approach the throne of God on behalf of those around us. This all starts with your mind. We need to think more like Jesus. Jesus wants your hands, your head, and your heart. We do this practically through His word. Be Strong | Spencer Davis | Saturday MorningMen, we’re called to mimic Christ in the roles of prophet, priest, and king. We’re called to lead in the way of obedience, joy, and hope regardless of circumstances. Look at the lives of Adam and Moses—they performed each of these roles, but also falling short in them. If Adam and Moses fell short, we’re going to fall short too. So, how can we mimic Christ?You’re not going to be perfect at all of them, but that doesn’t exempt you from the call. Wake up early and meet with Jesus. Continue to look to Jesus and run the race. Jesus fulfilled these roles in ways we cannot. In Numbers 25, Israel became comfortable and submit to the cultural norms of the pagan people around them. Today, culture is making a mockery of the Biblical sexual ethic that God created us for. The issue is not desire or attraction, but an idolatrous heart.Believers, Christ is the source of your identity. The roots we put down here have eternal implications. Society is going to sell you the easiest path, and we quickly become comfortable and tolerant in our sin. Men, we were not created for safety. We are ambassadors for Christ. You are not a victim of your sin but a conqueror in Christ.
