Ep 014: Master Conditioning Coach Jim Laird and Animal Wellness Expert Jackie Jolie Share 20 Years of Lessons Learned on The Road To QuantumHealth
“The average maximum security prison nurse gets more time outside than children do today,” shares Jim Laird, master strength and conditioning fitness coach with 25 years of experience. Today, Jim acts as the guest host alongside co-host Jackie Jolie, a recent graduate of the Quantum Health Practitioner Program level one, to talk about lessons learned throughout their careers from lifting weights to watching sunrises.
Jackie met Jim at a CrossFit gym. She was a college student doing all the usual things, barely eating, avoiding proteins and fats, and ignoring weight training in favor of cardio. Training with Jim changed her entire mindset, as she realized she could actually eat real foods and gain muscle tone while staying a healthy weight. When Jackie ended up with Lyme disease, Jim helped her again by introducing her to the world of quantum biology and the role of sunlight in overall health. She had been spending a lot of time outside working with horses, but had not known how the timing of sun exposure played a large role in mitochondrial health. Now they encourage others to think differently, showing people with autoimmune conditions and chronic diseases that healing can be as simple as getting reconnected with nature, seeing the sunrise, and helping the body become more resilient to everyday stressors.
The modern world is designed to limit our time in nature. Kids barely go outside to play, people work long days indoors, and all of this is viewed as normal. If you go back even just a couple decades, people were regularly spending time outside and there were much lower rates of chronic disease and obesity. It is important to lead by example and encourage others to connect with nature daily for their overall wellbeing.
Quotes
“Our modern world is designed to pull us away from nature. If you go back even to 1970, and you look at beach pictures of 1970 or pictures from Woodstock, there were no obese people. None. Half those people didn't work out. Women in the 1950s, sixties, it was unfeminine. Marilyn Monroe was one of the first women to actually strength train. And what did they do? They spent a lot of time outside. They didn't eat the garbage that we eat now. They made most of their food from scratch. They mowed their grass. They lived an active lifestyle. They went to the beach. They spent tons of time outside. They didn't have screens. So our number one battle is to look at the awesome technology that allows us to have this conversation and help as many people as we can. How do we balance being in touch with nature with the convenience of modern life?” (17:19-18:19 | Jim)
“The thing that I didn't really expect was going to happen after you see all the physiological stuff is, I had a better ability of coping mechanisms.” (23:16-23:26 | Jackie)
“The average maximum security prison nurse gets more time outside than children do today.” (28:02-28:06 | Jim)
“In our modern world, we're going to need people that lead by example.” (37:52-37:56 | Jim)
“How quickly could racism go away if we were teaching kids in elementary school that skin color is a light story? That your friend has genes that come out of Africa and their darker colored skin, because that body needs more sun than you do.” (56:24-56:41 | Jackie)

Ep 013: A Polymath PhD On The Quantum Biologic Connection To Everything
“A fundamental problem that people have is they've got enough energy to survive, but they can't thrive. And that's where I think quantum biology provides this enormous lens to allow people to tap into energy,” shares Sara Pugh, PhD. Dr. Sara is a polymath scientist turned quantum practitioner with a wealth of experience across many disciplines. She has experience in everything from pilates and functional neurology to close up magic and hypnosis. Today, host Meredith Oke talks with Dr. Sara Pugh about quantum biology and its connections to everything.
Whether you’re looking at how hypnosis works, why people are able to be tricked by stage magic, or health concerns like heart rate variability and chronic pain, everything comes down to quantum biology and circadian rhythm. When the body does not have order, there is room for inflammation to take over. Often people think changing their diets is enough to fix their health. However, 60% of electrons come from non-food sources like sunlight, and without that trigger, the body is unable to create vital hormones. People need to spend more time regulating their circadian rhythm by connecting with nature, seeing the sunrise and sunset, and eating and sleeping at the correct times. These elements are key for enabling the mitochondria to generate enough structured water for the body to perform optimally.
When you get down to it, everyone is connected through quantum biology. When circadian rhythm is out of order your mitochondria cannot create enough structured water and health problems begin to occur.
Quotes
“When I've looked at people's heart rate variabilities, there tends to be lots of problems there because we don't sort of do basic things like going out and cuddling or stroking animals or being in nature and just feeling part of the universe.” (15:30-15:46 | Dr. Sara)
“You can have all of the precursors in the world to make a neurotransmitter, but if there's not the trigger, like the sunlight, the serotonin isn't gonna get made.” (23:04-23:12 | Dr. Sara)
“The blue light from the sun is our timekeeper, and a brain that can't tell the time is like a brain that doesn't know where it is. It's gonna be confused and stressed out.” (25:47-25:56 | Dr. Sara)
“Inflammation is chaos, and the more order there is in the body, the better.” (26:23-26:27 | Dr. Sara)
“We get 60% of our electrons from non-food sources.” (30:20-30:24 | Dr. Sara)
“A fundamental problem that people have is they've got enough energy to survive, but they can't thrive. And that's where I think quantum biology provides this enormous lens to allow people to tap into energy.” (33:53-34:06 | Dr. Sara)

Ep 012: Using Intuition to Defy Time: A Quantum Blueprint To Make Middle Age The Healthiest Stage of Your Entire Life
“Anybody that's had a phone for a long time, you know after a while the battery loses its capacity to hold a charge. And when we don't take good care of ourselves, our body does the same thing,” explains quantum health coach Nathan Walz. Today guest host Nathan talks with his student Peter Bort about how studying quantum biology changed his mindset towards health. Peter became a student of quantum health when he realized that allopathic medicine was not working for him anymore. As he aged, he began to struggle with weight gain, brain fog, and chronic pain. Peter’s intuition was telling him it was time for a change. When he discovered the quantum blueprint and modified his lifestyle habits, the weight gain fell off and his health improved.
The amount of energy your body can generate depends on your mitochondrial health. By spending time in the sun, grounding himself in nature, adding seafood to his diet, drinking more water, and reducing EMF exposure, Peter was able to tune his circadian rhythm and radically improve his health. When it comes to your own body, you need to listen to your intuition for signals on what is working and what needs to change.
Your body can only expend energy for so long before it ends up depleted. Recharge your body by plugging back into the sun and the Earth and working on improving your overall mindset through practices like daily affirmations, mindfulness, and manifestation.
Quotes:
“I had the mindset to always want to push myself physically, but I got to a point where my body just wasn't able to keep up with what I mentally wanted to do.” (8:50-8:59 | Nathan)
“I was just eating different. I was eating different times and I was eating different food and all of a sudden, boom, there goes the 35 pounds I didn't need.” (11:09-11:18 | Peter)
“When I look at my health journey, it was about realizing that it's all about the free electrons. It's all about firing up the batteries, the little batteries in my cells. It's all about, my iPhone has gotten really weak on battery. Plugging it back in, plugging it into the sun, plugging it into the grounding. And having good breathing practices, which is something that Nathan is a good coach on. Because that's vital energy coming in through what we take in as that oxygen.” (12:15-12:56 | Peter)
“You don't want your devices, your cell phones, iPads, laptops, cordless phones, clock radios. You just don't want that stuff in your bedroom.” (14:54-15:09 | Peter)
“This paradigm of health is a lifelong learning. It's not just take a pill and carry on.” (15:53-16:00 | Peter)
“Anybody that's had a phone for a long time, you know after a while the battery loses its capacity to hold a charge. And when we don't take good care of ourselves, our body does the same thing.” (16:21-16:31 | Nathan)

Ep 011: The Physician Who Went Quantum & Left The System To Start A Concierge Practice
“The top of the pyramid is exercise, which is important, but it's not foundational. The foundation is circadian health because that relates to the health of the mitochondria,” explains Dr. Francisco Gutierrez. Dr. Gutierrez has over 25 years of experience in internal medicine. At just 41 years old, he suffered a stroke in spite of living a traditionally healthy lifestyle where he exercised frequently. Then, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Dr. Gutierrez realized that life was too short to continue working in a system that was misaligned with his values. He decided to open his own membership based direct primary care practice, Solymar Direct Health. Today, host Meredith Oke talks with Dr. Francisco Gutierrez about his journey through the healthcare system, his decision to start his own practice, and the importance of metabolic health.
Physician burnout and suicide rates are unfortunately extremely high, mainly because physicians within the traditional healthcare system do not get to just be physicians. In order to be able to apply his creativity and apply quantum biology concepts to his treatment regimens, Dr. Gutierrez chose to open his own practice. Many people think that if they eat right and exercise, then that is all they need to be healthy. However, the focus should instead be on circadian biology and mitochondrial health. Without enough daily sunlight, your body will not run correctly regardless of exercising regularly and eating healthy foods.
Metabolic health is largely dependent upon circadian biology. It is important to reset your internal clock every day by seeing the sunrise and sunset, eating at the correct times during the day, and getting at least 20 to 30 minutes of direct sunlight into your body.
Quotes
“When I started back in the year 2000 as a solo practitioner within the system, nobody was employed. No doctors were employed. Now, pretty much every doctor is employed by these hospital systems, and unfortunately, what that creates is an environment where the customer is not the patient, but the customer is the employer. I say that because I lived it and I lived it from both ends, from the clinical end and from the administrative. And so when you look at the statistics and you look at the rate of burnout for physicians, and sadly the rate of suicide by physicians, it's astounding, and it speaks to what you said, that a lot of the doctors, certainly the doctors of my generation, we didn't sign up for this. We signed up to be a physician.” (7:24-8:23 | Dr. Gutierrez)
“The top of the pyramid is exercise, which is important, but it's not foundational. The foundation is circadian health because that relates to the health of the mitochondria.” (26:40-26:51 | Dr. Gutierrez)
“Our body clock is the director of the symphony that is our metabolism.” (29:10-29:19 | Dr. Gutierrez)
“Go outside and walk, if you can barefoot, three times a week for 20 to 30 minutes every single day. But it's gotta be outside, no sunscreen, the fewest clothes possible.” (42:41-42:55 | Dr. Gutierrez)
“Being Hispanic in these latitudes north of where we come from puts us at a higher risk of developing chronic disease.” (59:35-59:47 | Dr. Gutierrez)

Ep 010: The Scientist Who Redefined Water: Carrie Bennett & Dr. Gerald Pollack On How Our Cells Really Work
“Everything the cell does, it doesn't matter what kind of cell, it needs a cell full of easy water,” explains Dr. Gerald Pollock. Dr. Pollock is a professor of bioengineering at the University of Washington, founding Editor in Chief of The Water Journal, founder of The Water Conference, and author of several bestselling books including The Fourth Phase of Water. Today, guest host Carrie Bennett talks to Dr. Gerald Pollock about easy water, or exclusion zone water, and the truth about how our cells really work.
When we are in school, we learn that the energy in our bodies comes from ATP generated by our mitochondria. However, in truth, water plays a huge role in where we get our energy. 99 out of every 100 molecules in the body are water molecules, and that water exists in a different form from the liquid water we are used to seeing. The water within our cells is a structured water with rearranged hydrogen and oxygen molecules forming hexagons to create a barrier against penetration. In order for our cells to function optimally, they must be filled with easy water.
Most people are familiar with the fact that the human body is composed mostly of water, but quantum biology takes it a step further to examine the nature of that water. The water within our cells is in a gel-like form known as exclusion zone water or easy water. This gel-like water is where our cells get the majority of their energy from.
Quotes
“99 out of every 100 molecules in the body is water.” (2:15-2:19 | Carrie)
“Water is the true battery of energy that the body draws upon.” (5:43-5:47 | Carrie)
“It looks as though there's less structured, easy fourth phase water inside the cancer cell. And maybe it's entirely possible, nobody studied this, that the very fact that there's a diminution of the ordinary amount of easy water inside the cell makes it a cancer cell and makes it keep dividing.” (1:03:30-1:03:55 | Dr. Pollock)
“Everything the cell does, it doesn't matter what kind of cell, it needs a cell full of easy water.” (1:06:16-1:06:23 | Dr. Pollock)
“The key is that the Earth is not neutral, it's negatively charged.” (1:15:16-1:15:20 | Dr. Pollock)

Ep 009: Talent’s Not Enough, Why Elite Athletes Need To Optimize Their Circadian Biology
“There's no exercise that you can teach what you learn on the streets,” explains Taylor Davidson, Founder of Football Entangled. After experiencing a sports-related stress fracture, Taylor became fascinated by human health, leading him down the road of quantum biology. Today, guest host Jason Oke and Taylor discuss why athletes need to improve their circadian rhythm for peak athletic performance.
Through Football Entangled, Taylor works with footballers to overcome injuries and maximize their talent through the principles of quantum biology. He has built his system around three pillars: your mitochondrial health, your internal foundation (athletic ability), and the game itself. By putting yourself in the right environment for optimal vitality, you will be surprised at how much better you will be. Although many people only take things seriously when making a financial investment, the best changes for our fitness are free, such as natural sunlight. By looking at athletes from poorer countries, who do not have access to fancy cleats or programs, you can see the benefits of simply playing outside, learning from the competition, and understanding how your body actually functions.
You need to get outside whether you play football, soccer, or any sport. When you’re outside, you not only improve your mitochondrial health, but you can be in a position to learn on the field. Although there are exercises and drills you can always do, learning from playing is how you get to a high level of performance.
Quotes
“Every little step got me more and more understanding of quantum health and mitochondrial function and how the human body works from a base level.” (4:20-4:34 | Taylor)
“That first pillar, the inner furnace, is really controlling your environment and putting yourself in the best spot for optimal health and vitality. And it is hard sometimes when I'm working with like professional athletes because they're so ingrained into what they know. But at the same time, those guys also have a lot of freedom because of their finances. And contrary to common thought, those pro athletes do have a lot of time on their hands. So they, they, they really do have the ability to apply these things if they choose to. So a lot of times, it's just getting them by mentally over the, over the stump, and like buying in.” (12:19-13:06 | Taylor)
“When people make an investment in themselves, then the change is a lot easier to come by as opposed to how often people don't act on the free stuff they have around. Once they make a financial investment, then it's easy for them to make make a change in their life.” (15:24-15:45 | Taylor)
“Strength is not just about how much you can lift in a certain pattern, but the result of the whole being integrated, not just how big the parts are.” (25:19-25:35 | Taylor)
“There's no exercise that you can teach what you learn on the streets. The only way you can learn that is by actually doing it and being exposed to all the different levels of talent and ability on the field of competition, which then molds you and pushes you to adapt and overcome.” (28:23-28:46 | Taylor)
“You get the biggest output of actionable knowledge by what you learn on the field in competition because you get taught what works and what doesn't work really quick.” (36:24-36:38 | Taylor)
“I'm not a doctor or a scientist, but I've been able to take mountains of knowledge and then apply it at a very high level of performance.” (36:47-36:59 | Taylor)

Ep 008 The Chronobiology Master: Dr. Alexander Wunsch on the Danger of Junk Light & The Secrets of The Sun
“Almost every chronic disorder or chronic condition can be linked more or less directly to chronobiological disruption. What we would call civilization associated disorders or diseases, they are all linked to bad habits with regard to lighting and light exposure,” explains Dr. Alexander Wunsch, chronobiologist. Today, host Meredith Oke talks with Dr. Wunsch about the dangers of artificial light and the reasons why natural sunlight is so vital.
Every organism has adapted to a natural circadian biology, meaning they balance their sleep and wake cycles with those of the sun. When that circadian rhythm is interrupted, our bodies cannot function optimally and require more energy for basic metabolic functions. In most of Western society, people are not getting the proper daily dose of sunlight and instead are spending 90% of their day exposed to artificial light including blue light from computers and cellphones.
Most people are not getting the right dosage of sunlight to reap the positive benefits of the sun. When they do get sunlight, people are often overdosing and causing long term harm to their bodies. In contrast, artificial light is damaging to our natural circadian biology and can be just as problematic to our health as overdosing on sunlight.
Quotes
“Almost every chronic disorder or chronic condition can be linked more or less directly to chronobiological disruption. What we would call civilization associated disorders or diseases, they are all linked to bad habits with regard to lighting and light exposure.” (6:05-6:39 | Dr. Wunsch)
“Most humans in the western industrialized societies don't even have the chance to get the right dose of sunlight on a regular basis, because they are locked into very artificial conditions.” (21:42-22:07 | Dr. Wunsch)
“90% of people living indoors are exposed to artificial light and are living indoors 90% of their lifetime. And so the impact of the artificial light sources, I would say is even more problematic. And, the fact is we have not enough true, unfiltered natural sunlight. And on the other hand, we have much too much cold, artificial light surrogates, artificial light, overdose of artificial light, and almost no exposure to unfiltered natural light. And this makes the problems.” (22:51-23:51 | Dr. Wunsch)
“If you are exposed on a constant basis on the right dosage level, sunlight is positive. And if you are intermittently exposed in terms of overdosing every seven days or 10 days or so, then sunlight will unfold its nasty properties, but not immediately, but 10, 20, 30 years later.” (30:44-31:14 | Dr. Wunsch)
“True light bulbs which produce the light via heat are the best artificial light source because they produce the natural spectral distribution, and our bodies are adapted to so-called thermal light sources.” (46:56-47:16 | Dr. Wunsch)

Ep 007: How Healthy Light Habits Lead to Emotional Health with Circadian Man Matt Mancz
“Health is a byproduct of the environment and the lifestyle you live,” explains Matt Mancz, Circadian Performance Coach. An athlete passionate about strength and conditioning, Matt sought a career where he could focus on health and athletic performance. Finding gaps in traditional athletic training, Matt discovered quantum biology and now incorporates circadian principles into his life and work.
With Dr. Alex Lee, Matt co-founded and opened Circadian Healing Performance, where they do everything from nervous system chiropractic care to bodywork and massage therapy, all with a circadian foundation in mind. Through his work, Matt understands how connected our energy is to the natural world, which includes spending time outdoors, experiencing touch, and having proper mitochondria function. When you develop simple, light habits, not only will you feel better physically, but you will see vast differences in your mental health. Ultimately, by connecting to the environment and the world around you, you can develop a lifestyle of vitality in the purest, most human way.
When you adhere to quantum biology, your physical and emotional health will improve. Matt follows circadian rhythm principles, but an important distinction is that everything in life is a rhythm, from physical movement to the food we eat, to the light in the day and the darkness at night. When we understand that our health is a natural expression, we can make common sense choices, feeling better along the way.
Quotes
“I am just a performance coach and a massage therapist who only executes his service in an environment that is aligned with quantum biology and circadian biology.” (17:37-17:49 | Matt)
“Bodywork is so important, and it’s a vital part of the quantum equation in health and performance.” (21:17-21:25 | Matt)
“You're designed to live in the natural environment. And what that does is unlock all the genetic potential slumbering within yourself.” (31:52-31:59 | Matt)
“Health is a byproduct of the environment and the lifestyle you live.” (32:46-32:50 | Matt)
“If you want to learn about your body, mind, and where it goes and how to bring it back to center, the best place to begin is the breath.” (38:33-38:42 | Matt)
“If you have a sound mind, that's only possible if you're breathing properly. That's only possible if you're connected to nature. That's only possible if you're putting good food in your mouth.” (41:30-41:37 | Matt)

Ep 005: Carrie Bennett & Dr Catherine Clinton on the Quantum Shifts in Scientific Paradigms
“People are looking for a truth they can get behind that's not associated with politics, dogmas and religion, and all these kinds of sectarian clashes,” explains guest Dr. Catherine Clinton. Today, Dr. Clinton and guest Carrie Bennett join host Meredith to discuss the current paradigm shift from biochemistry to quantum biology. Breaking down the recent changes in health and philosophy, they share the current state of science and the future ahead.
As history has always shown, breakthrough science tends to come from the fringe rather than the mainstream. In a day and age where science has become more about profits than people, the fringe is, unfortunately, being ignored.
